00:00Hello, there. Welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. As we go through
00:04this afternoon, for most of us, it's going to be a mixture of sunny spells and scattered
00:08showers. But we still have this weather front out towards the east, so just remaining fairly
00:13cloudy here. But it will push off towards the continent as the day goes on. So a brief
00:18dry and brighter interlude for most of us, but it won't last another weather system arriving
00:24later on on Monday. And that's really just going to maintain this rather changeable pattern
00:28what we have been experiencing. So back to this afternoon, we can see the rain just clinging
00:33on across the far east of England. So quite a cloudy, damp afternoon here. Elsewhere,
00:38a mixture of some bright spells. The best of which will be down towards the southwestern
00:44corner where further north we see a scattering of showers too, especially for parts of Scotland,
00:49Northern Ireland and Northern England. With winds coming in from the south, however, it's
00:55going to be a mild day for all of us. Temperatures in the south east could potentially be up
00:59to 16 or 17 degrees. Into this evening, a lot of the cloud across England and Wales
01:06generally melting away for a time. Some clearer skies initially for Northern Ireland, but
01:10then this next area of cloud and rain beginning to work its way in, arrives into many central
01:16parts by the end of the night. So the clearest of the skies probably over towards East Anglia,
01:20Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. Also turning a little bit drier and clearer as we approach
01:25dawn across Northern Ireland. But a mild night for all of us. Temperatures not falling much
01:30lower than around 5 to 7 degrees, potentially hanging into double figures down towards the
01:36far southwest. So Monday morning, a mild start for all of us. Some sunshine initially out
01:43towards the very far east, but the cloud and rain will work its way in as the morning goes
01:49on. Rain weakening as it does work its way eastwards. So very little rain actually arriving
01:53for East Anglia. Behind it, it turns drier and brighter with some sunny spells come the
01:59afternoon, best of which will be over towards the east where further west, thickening cloud
02:04and some outbreaks of rain arriving as this next weather system comes in. So quite a wet
02:08end to the day for Northern Ireland and the far west of Scotland. Temperatures in the
02:15north reaching around 13 or 14 degrees. In the south, we could once again see highs 16
02:22or 17 degrees. For the rest of the week, as I mentioned, it's going to remain fairly changeable,
02:28but you can find out more about that on our social media channels. But for now, take care
02:33and I'll see you again soon.
