00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you. Now we've seen some lively weather
00:03into Thursday morning and it extends through the day. There's a Met Office
00:07warning for thunderstorms which will continue until midnight with the risk of
00:12some torrential downpours, frequent lightning, gusty winds and hail and the
00:16risk of some flash flooding if you see any prolonged heavy downpours through
00:21the day. So some impacts associated with the weather, the air is very unstable and
00:25it's a very muggy start to the day across England and Wales. It's damp
00:29across Western Scotland but this patchy rain will fade. Brighter skies for Orkney
00:34as well as Caithnest down towards Aberdeenshire. Some showery rain across
00:37Ayrshire as well as Dumfries and Galloway. More cloud for Northern Ireland
00:41through this morning, the odd spot or two of rain. Here's that thundery rain
00:44extending towards the east, East Yorkshire as well as Lincolnshire
00:47clipping the far north of the Midlands and one or two showers just continuing
00:51across more southern areas of England and Wales but some sunshine as well. A
00:55very muggy start to the day across England and Wales and with that we can
00:59see that showery rain which is thundery pushing ever eastwards. Notice some
01:04bright echoes representing some heavy downpours. At the same time it dries up
01:08across Western Scotland, it brightens up across Northern Ireland. We continue to
01:12see the sunshine across eastern Scotland but notice some homegrown
01:15thunderstorms through the morning into the afternoon. They'll be fairly slow
01:19moving and again we could see some torrential downpours continuing through
01:25the day. Some sunshine in between and a better end to the day across Western
01:28Scotland. One or two patches of low cloud across southern Scotland. The odd spot
01:33or two of rain can't be ruled out here but it should break and certainly these
01:37thunderstorms will just continue to rumble on into evening time. Temperatures
01:41then 23 to 29 across England and Wales. A pleasant 23 for Northern Ireland. 22
01:46will be your high across Scotland helped with some sunshine. Now through Thursday
01:51evening some pleasant weather to end the day across much of Scotland. Northern
01:55Ireland could see one or two light passing showers. Again some for border
01:59regions but notice where most of the activity is going on. It's the Midlands
02:04eastwards with some heavy and slow moving thunderstorms again causing
02:07problems on the road through Thursday evening and overnight. So this evening
02:12watch out if you are out and about. You may run into a torrential downpour and
02:16they will rumble on into the evening before slowly losing their intensity. At
02:21the same time overnight it's still muggy across England and Wales and we'll see
02:25more cloud just encroaching across the far west of Scotland with a little
02:29showery rain here. So temperatures overnight across England and Wales will
02:33hold in double figures. 12 or 13 across Scotland and Northern Ireland higher
02:38further south and that leads into a fine start to the day on Thursday. But yet
02:42again sunshine could trigger some thundery downpours across central and
02:46eastern areas. Some sunshine across the central portion of the country further
02:50west we'll see some showery rain move in later and still hot across the
02:54southeast. Here's your outlook through Saturday. The heat is waning towards the
02:57east. There will be some brighter skies around as the cloud breaks towards the
03:01east and some showers further west. I'll see you later.
