00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning and for many it's a bright start to the day with some sunshine away from eastern counties, more clouds here and some patchy rain.
00:10This is the weather front which is storming currently across eastern counties of England bringing with it some dampness in the air.
00:17Ridge of high pressure though elsewhere bringing some brighter skies before this system moves in into the early hours of Thursday morning.
00:24A little bit less of rain for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Eventually it does clear down towards the south east through Friday morning.
00:30Before that though, Wednesday is looking fine for many with some good sunny spells.
00:34It's cool if you are stepping out first thing though. Temperatures have dipped down in rural Scotland, the western side of Northern Ireland to around 8 or 9 Celsius.
00:42You can see on the western edge of this front it is eroding so some brighter weather coming through across Yorkshire now, mid Wales.
00:50Down towards Cornwall yes you'll see some sunshine, Devon and Somerset yet again seeing some brighter weather through the first part of the day.
00:57Notice though across the Midlands eastwards some patchy rain and drizzle and eventually this will tend to become more sporadic and it will slowly dry up through the morning into the afternoon.
01:08At the same time, enjoy the sunshine across the north west. You'll see more clouds and a bit of a breeze here through the latter part of today.
01:16Elsewhere, a fine afternoon across Wales, Northern England and as you can see that cloud is slowly breaking up across the Midlands into lunchtime.
01:26Through the afternoon then, spits and spots of rain can't be ruled out for Lincolnshire, the far south east.
01:31But notice the cloud breaking even here so a fine end to the day, a lovely evening to come.
01:37However, for Northern Ireland you'll see more cloud through Wednesday evening and also a stronger wind.
01:43Temperatures though, 18 or 19 Celsius, 20 perhaps for the central belt and we'll see 22 for mid Wales, 23 or 24 down towards the south east.
01:53Now through Wednesday evening, the first of the rain arrives across the western isles.
01:58The winds are picking up some strength but some fine weather to come across the bulk of Scotland.
02:04England and Wales also seeing some dry weather but for Northern Ireland you'll see some rain through this evening and overnight it is likely to intensify further.
02:13So let's pick up on this band of rain and the passage as it pushes towards Scotland through Wednesday evening.
02:20The winds will be a feature of the weather as well. Notice some bright echoes representing some heavier pulses across the far north west of Scotland by around midnight.
02:28Extending down towards Northern Ireland as well where we'll likely see some waves in that rain allowing for some heavier pulses here through into the early hours of Thursday morning.
02:38At the same time, some patchy rain will arrive across the far north of England, Cumbria and Lancashire.
02:43A fine day elsewhere on Thursday with some hazy sunshine whereas towards the north we'll see that persistent rain continuing and edging down towards the far north of England, the far north of Wales.
02:55Breezy across the rest of England and Wales with some sunshine, temperatures 24, 25 and it's a windy day across Scotland and Northern Ireland with outbreaks of rain.
03:04Now that rain eventually clears more eastern counties on Friday morning and then we'll see brighter weather across many areas as the winds ease as well.
03:14Into Saturday it's a mix of clouds and sunshine across most parts, brighter weather towards the south east and a chance of a shower.
03:21It'll be fleeting and mostly light. I'll see you later. Have a lovely day.
