00:00Good morning. It is a bit of a chilly start out there for most of us but it
00:03will warm up as we head towards the weekend as our winds switch from a
00:08northerly to a south westerly and that will bring more in the way of widespread
00:12dry weather through today. So plenty of sunshine to come well into this
00:16afternoon particularly across parts of England and Wales. The cloud will thicken
00:20across parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland. There's a risk of the odd
00:23shower as well as we head into the afternoon. But with westerly winds and
00:28more in the way of sunshine temperatures will climb a little bit
00:30higher than they have done lately. Highs around 14 or 15 degrees quite widely.
00:34Still below average but definitely warmer than it has been lately. The winds
00:38will be lighter today as well so that will definitely make a difference as
00:42well. Bring a bit more warmth to that sunshine. But the winds will remain
00:46light overnight with clear skies developing across England and Wales. It
00:49will be another fairly cold night for many southern areas. Different story
00:53though across more northwestern areas as that weather front brings more
00:56widespread wet weather to western areas of Scotland in particular and quite
01:00thick cloud across Northern Ireland and more central areas of Scotland. So here
01:05it's going to be a milder night. The winds are really going to pick up as
01:07well. We could see gale-force winds across the far northwest of Scotland
01:11through the early hours of tomorrow morning. Across the south
01:15there's still a chance of a rural frost but I think slightly warmer than last
01:19night. And it will be a fairly bright start to the weekend across much of
01:23England and Wales. With high pressure dominating across southern areas it
01:26should be a fairly fine weekend across the south in fact. Plenty of sunshine to
01:31come through Saturday. We'll turn a little bit hazier across northern areas
01:34and parts of the far west as well into Saturday afternoon. And the wet weather
01:38is really going to persist actually across western areas of Scotland. We
01:41could start to see rainfall totals building up by the end of Saturday with
01:45strong winds persisting as well. But with plenty more sunshine across much of
01:50England and Wales temperatures quite widely climbing towards the high teens.
01:53It's much closer to where they should be for the time of year and definitely a
01:57more widely warm day to come tomorrow compared to today even. So with
02:01temperatures rising through the weekend and high pressure building there's
02:04plenty more fine weather to come across the south. But that wet weather across
02:07the more northern areas will sink into parts of North Wales and Northern
02:11England for Sunday. But it looks like next week we could see more prolonged
02:15dry weather. You can find out more details on all of that on our latest
02:18YouTube uploads. Have a great weekend. Bye bye.
