Transcript
00:00Good afternoon. A north-west-south-east split developing with our weather over the next
00:0524 hours or so. Looking at the pressure pattern, we can see a deep area of low pressure sat
00:10to the north-west, bringing outbreaks of heavy rain and strong winds to parts of Scotland
00:14in particular. A Met Office warning in force from this evening and through into Monday
00:19as well. Eventually, this weather front pushing heavy rain south-eastwards on Tuesday.
00:24For Sunday afternoon, outbreaks of rain across Norman Island for the rest of the day. Some
00:29wet roads could lead to some tricky travelling conditions. The rain spreading into western
00:32parts of Scotland too. Generally elsewhere dry, but quite a lot of cloud around. There
00:38will be some bright or sunny spells at times. The best of the sunny spells across parts
00:42of Wales, the West Country and south-east England. Overall, temperatures are lower compared
00:47to recent days. Under the cloud and rain, 15 to 17 Celsius. Brisk winds here too, making
00:53it feel quite chilly. Gusts of around 30 to 40 mph across some western coasts. In the
00:58brighter spells, low 20s, 23 or 24 towards the south-east. Lower compared to yesterday
01:05where we saw highs around 26 Celsius here. Through into the evening time, that Met Office
01:10warning comes into force across western parts of Scotland. Outbreaks of heavy rain continuing
01:16until the early hours here. Generally across western areas, it's a cloudy night. Some outbreaks
01:21of patchy rain in places too. The rain could also be heavy at times across the far north
01:26and west of Northern Ireland. Clearer skies towards the south-east, but winds coming in
01:32from the south and we're drawing in some quite humid air. Temperatures dropping no lower
01:36than 13 to 16 Celsius for many of us. So, a bit more of an uncomfortable night for sleeping
01:42once more. First thing on Monday morning, outbreaks of heavy rain. There could be some
01:46local disruption across parts of Scotland. Rain continues here for much of the day. Northern
01:52Ireland also seeing pulses of rain too. Elsewhere, bright start, but the cloud bubbling up as
01:57we go through the day. Then this weather front starts to affect western fringes of England
02:02and Wales by late afternoon. But the winds coming up from the south, as I mentioned,
02:07drawing in some warm and humid air. So, in the best of the sunshine, temperatures reaching
02:11around the mid-20s, perhaps 26 or 27 for one or two spots in the east, even under the cloud
02:17and the rain further north-west. Temperatures getting into the low 20s here. Through into
02:22the evening time on Monday, this weather front just starts to slip its way south-eastwards
02:26across northern parts of England, Wales, the West Country. Just notice still some bright
02:30echoes in there indicating some heavy bursts of rain as well. So, quite a bit going on
02:36with the weather, particularly across Scotland over the next 24 hours. If you'd like more
02:41information, you can get that on our YouTube channel, particularly the Scotland Forecast.
02:46See you again soon.
