00:00Tesla has set incredibly high standards for all new electric cars coming to the
00:05market. Fortunately there are many really cool and excellent quality electric cars
00:10being revealed to us by other major car companies and startups. With some
00:14patience we should be able to experience them all very soon. But for now let's get
00:20to know by name. Polestar 3. According to the manufacturer the Polestar 3 will be
00:28an aerodynamic performance electric SUV that will join the growing number of
00:33new electric vehicles that have lofty goals. The Polestar 3 is a completely new
00:38electric sport utility vehicle. As its name indicates it is the third model in
00:43the Polestar's ever-expanding family of automobiles. It will also be Volvo's
00:47third vehicle built at its new production site in South Carolina where
00:51it will join the S60 sedan and the next generation XC90 SUV. The Polestar 3
00:57will be the first Polestar vehicle to be built in the United States. Currently
01:02Polestar has only released a small amount of information on the upcoming
01:05three SUVs and the company has not said how much they will cost. With competitors
01:10like the Jaguar I-Pace and BMW ix starting at roughly $71,000 and $84,000
01:17respectively we expect the Polestar 3 to be somewhere in the middle of the price
01:21spectrum. Fisker Ocean. Electric SUVs are becoming increasingly popular and Fisker
01:30Automotive intends to capitalize on this trend with its new Ocean SUV. The base
01:35trim model will have a range of 250 miles according to predictions. When
01:40fitted with an all-wheel drive dual motor system it may achieve speeds of up
01:44to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds. On a single charge the most
01:49powerful model is expected to go 350 kilometers according to estimates.
01:53Besides being a gorgeous SUV akin to the Range Rover Evoque in design, the Fisker
02:00Ocean for 2023 also offers a few unique features. A 17.1 inch touchscreen in the
02:06center of the dashboard can be rotated both vertically and horizontally and the
02:10back glass can be opened to give a windswept inside creating the illusion
02:15of a convertible. But only time will tell if the Ocean's range ratings,
02:19performance claims, and parlor tricks will be enough to entice Tesla obsessed
02:23people to purchase the vehicle. According to Fisker's early pricing announcements
02:28for the whole Ocean line, the basic Ocean model is expected to cost around $40,000
02:33when completed. BMW i7. The all-new i7 is the new electric luxury vehicle that
02:42will share elements with the future BMW 7 series but it will have a completely
02:46different electric powertrain and battery system. BMW has confirmed a range
02:51of 360 to 380 miles for the upcoming i7 which is expected to be powered by the
02:57same 100 kilowatt-hour battery as the BMW iX SUV. A 200 kilowatt public fast
03:03charging station will allow you to add a few more miles of range to the new i7 to
03:08avoid a long charging session and reach home promptly. The teaser photographs
03:13published by BMW suggest that the new i7 will look nothing like any BMW currently
03:18on the market. The BMW i7 is anticipated to be more expensive than the
03:23conventional BMW 7 series because electric automobiles are typically more
03:27expensive than gasoline and diesel powered counterparts. It is not out of
03:31the question that the i7 series will begin at roughly $110,000.
03:38Hyundai IONIQ 7. The 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 7 concept is described as a living place
03:46on wheels which is precisely what the all-electric SUV looks like. As with the
03:52IONIQ 5 and a slew of other planned Hyundai and Kia electric vehicles, the 7
03:57will ride on the company's new cross-brand E-GMP platform. The 7 concept car has a
04:03futuristic exterior with innovative lighting components, shape-shifting wheels
04:07and glass panels on the roof and back. Hyundai wants the IONIQ 7 to have a
04:13driving range of more than 300 miles, thus we expect it to have a large usable
04:17battery capacity. With a 350 kilowatt fast charger, the battery of the 7 can be
04:23charged from 10% to 80% in as little as 20 minutes according to the firm. With
04:29electric vehicles projected to become increasingly common in the next years, we
04:32wouldn't be shocked if their price converged with that of their gas-powered
04:36counterparts. This means that the IONIQ 7 in 2024 might start at roughly $50,000
04:43which is now the highest end of the Palisade lineup as a starting point.
04:48Tesla Cybertruck. The Tesla Cybertruck may appear like it was delivered by
04:54extraterrestrials, but its technological prowess rivals even the most powerful
04:58pickup trucks on the market. Tesla's Cybertruck will have a robust body
05:03constructed of scratch and dent resistant stainless steel. A towing
05:08capacity of 14,000 pounds is possible with the Cybertruck, which also has
05:12optional all-wheel drive and an anticipated driving range of more than
05:16500 miles. A 250 kilowatt charging cable will be standard on all models. Of course
05:23Tesla's extensive network of superchargers will be available to it as
05:26well. The driving range varies depending on the number of motors, but Tesla claims
05:30that a single motor can go 250 miles or more, dual motors can travel 300 miles or
05:36more, and the top tier tri-motor system can travel more than 500 miles on a
05:40single charge. According to how many electric engines they have, three
05:44distinct trims will be available for the Cybertruck. The most affordable model
05:48will start at $39,900. Polestar 5. Polestar's eye-catching precept concept
05:57car will now proceed into production and the Polestar 5 will go on sale in 2024
06:02according to the company. It is anticipated that the Polestar 5 will be
06:06an entirely new car for the company based on the outstanding precept concept.
06:11Similar to the smaller Polestar 2, the Polestar 5 is intended to be powered by
06:16two electric motors, one mounted up front and the other mounted at the rear. The
06:21Polestar 2 produced a combined 402 horsepower on a test track and was able
06:26to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 4.1 seconds, and so the
06:31Polestar 5 is expected to be even better. There will be additional competition for
06:36the Taycan and Model S performance models from the 5, which is likely to
06:40have a higher horsepower rating and be somewhat quicker than the two. There
06:44hasn't been any news on how much the car will cost yet. However, electric power
06:49trains and lavish interiors aren't exactly inexpensive these days. When
06:54these two elements are taken into consideration, a starting price in the
06:58six-figure area is more than likely. Chevrolet Equinox EV. The all-electric
07:07Chevrolet Equinox compact SUV will be on sale in the fall of 2023, replacing the
07:11current gasoline-powered model. The first photographs of this new vehicle reveal
07:16its elegant design and futuristic interior, which contrasts sharply with
07:20the pleasant gas-powered Equinox. Chevrolet claims that it will have LT and
07:25RS versions available for purchase. The GM Ultium battery will be used in the
07:30Equinox EV, which is all we know about it mechanically. There are no official
07:36details on the battery's capacity or expected driving range, but we believe
07:39it'll need to be about 300 miles to compete in the current EV crossover
07:44market. The Equinox EV in particular has an appealing appearance, with a narrow
07:49top-light strip up front and two lights below in a closed-off maw that resembles
07:53a grille. The front fenders are flared and the rear haunches are broad, giving
07:58it an athletic attitude. The abrupt back roofline sets it apart from the usual
08:03crossover. According to its estimates, the Chevrolet Equinox EV is projected to
08:08have a starting price of around $30,000.
08:12Mercedes-Benz EQG. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has a long history of being an
08:19all-terrain vehicle before it became a status symbol for celebrities who could
08:23afford to pay six figures for it. The G-Class has spawned the all-electric EQG
08:28as the automotive landscape shifts away from gas-powered vehicles. Four electric
08:34motors, one for each wheel, are expected in the Mercedes-Benz EQG in 2024, and the
08:40batteries will be integrated into an old-school, durable, ladder-framed
08:43structure. Individual management of the four electric motors near each wheel is
08:48intended to improve both on- and off-road driving capabilities. And if the
08:53design is any clue, the EQG will also come with a shiftable two-speed gearbox
08:58for venturing well off the usual road. The EQG's chassis will be similar to that
09:03of the gas-powered G-Class, with an independent front suspension and a stiff
09:08rear axle that should aid with on-road driving. We'll know more about the
09:13several EQG trims and their price closer to the electric off-roader's on-sale date.
09:18However, we expect the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQG to cost around $150,000 when it goes
09:25on sale. Kia EV9. According to a press release posted on Kia's website, the EV9
09:34SUV will go into production in Europe in 2023, making it the first market to get
09:39it. The EV9 concept is a three-row, all-electric SUV that is around the same
09:45size and shape as the Kia Telluride in terms of overall size and shape. Given
09:50that the Hyundai IONIQ 7 was also launched last year, we were previously
09:55aware that it would share many characteristics with this vehicle. In
09:59addition, the Kia EV6 and Hyundai IONIQ 5 are both constructed on an enlarged
10:05version of the e-GMP platform, which will be utilized in both Kia and Hyundai's
10:10big electric SUVs in the near future. As reported by Kia, the electric vehicle EV9
10:16will have a maximum charging rate of 350 kW in a range that is upwards of 300
10:22miles from a single charge. At this moment, we can only speculate, but we
10:26anticipate the US version will be ready in 2024 and will have a starting price
10:31of around $50,000. Honda Prologue. Honda is about to enter a new age of electric
10:39automobiles, and it all begins with the 2024 Honda Prologue SUV, a totally
10:45electric vehicle that offers adaptability and a driving range on par
10:49with the company's current SUV portfolio. Prologue, a new electric car from Honda,
10:54will be unveiled for the 2024 model year as a result of a new relationship with
10:59General Motors. And although Honda hasn't revealed much about the car, it's
11:03assumed that the Prologue will be a compact to midsize SUV. If the Lyric's
11:09100 kWh battery is used in the Prologue, then a 300 mile range is to be
11:14expected. Even though GM will design the base and powertrains, Honda will build
11:19the Prologue's body and interior. The Acura luxury brand is likely to provide a
11:24Prologue variant as well, although no specifications have been announced as of
11:29this writing. The Prologue's pricing and trim levels haven't been revealed by
11:33Honda yet, but we estimate the new model will begin at $45,000 and rise from
11:38there. Cadillac Celestic. The Celestic has all the makings of a real flagship
11:46luxury sedan, and on top of that it features an electric motor capable of
11:50over 300 mile range. As a sister vehicle of the Lyric SUV, which is for sale in
11:562022, the Celestic promises even more groundbreaking innovations, such as a
12:00transparent glass roof panel. With a dashboard spanning infotainment display,
12:06this vehicle appears to have a lot of room inside. Cadillac expects the
12:10Celestic to go on sale in 2025, which means it will serve as a launching pad
12:14for the latest and greatest technology from General Motors. An Ultium battery
12:19pack with a capacity of up to 100 kWh will power the Celestic.
12:23With its new all-electric powertrains like the Celestic and Lyric in its
12:27lineup, it isn't clear if Cadillac will continue to offer contemporary trim
12:31levels. We believe the Celestic will be more expensive than the Lyric, which is
12:35expected to start at roughly $60,000. Tesla Roadster. Tesla's first ever
12:44electric vehicle, the original Roadster, was essential in establishing the
12:48company's reputation, even if most of the company's current consumers are unaware
12:52of it. The all-new model was meant to come in 2021, but it hasn't arrived yet,
12:57leading us to believe it has been postponed until further notice. Elon
13:01Musk stated that the new Tesla Roadster supercar could accelerate from 0 to
13:0560 miles per hour in 1.9 seconds, reach a top speed of more than 220 miles per
13:11hour, and finish the quarter-mile in 8.8 seconds after introducing the vehicle in
13:16November 2017. According to these figures, if the Roadster's top speed of 60 miles
13:21per hour remains constant, it will be a full second faster than its major
13:25competitor, the gasoline-powered McLaren 570s. Despite the fact that the 200
13:31kilowatt-hour battery is claimed to have a range of up to 620 miles, a few
13:36laps around a racetrack will almost certainly considerably diminish that
13:40statistic. As reported by Tesla, the regular Roadster will cost over $200,000,
13:46with the Founder Series totaling for over $250,000.
