00:00Previously, guess what?
00:04After 10 long weeks, the Rockettes were reunited with their loved ones.
00:08It's your family and friends!
00:10Woo!
00:18When they all saw us, that was like the best moment ever.
00:22Lots of tears.
00:24Happy tears though.
00:26Hey, hey, don't cry. You're going to look back at this one day on TV.
00:28You don't want to be crying.
00:32The family celebrated together at the Funfair Challenge.
00:38And then headed back to site to check out the houses.
00:40This is the one Mummy and Daddy have built.
00:42This is how our house looks at home.
00:44Yeah, the family loved it.
00:46Loved it. And they were really proud.
00:48They were really proud to see it all come together.
00:50Tonight, work continues in their guest bedrooms and laundries.
00:54Oh, just painting on a Friday, which is unusual.
00:56Heck, what's that though?
00:58I know, it feels good.
01:00But it's not all smooth sailing.
01:02I told them, the middle.
01:04They've f***ed it.
01:06Sparkies are not allowed for the wardrobe in the room.
01:08And they've placed all the lighting dead centre.
01:10They've all got to move 600 this way.
01:12All-stars Tom and Sarah Jane drop by for a good cause.
01:14You look so sexy!
01:16Thanks, mate. Real men wear pink, mate.
01:18Put these on your head so that it can start a conversation.
01:20Cute!
01:22And Maddie and Charlotte struggle to stay on track.
01:24Are all the other laundries in?
01:26Everything's done.
01:28Foreman Dan is in our ear being like,
01:30Bryce needs to put in the cabinets.
01:32You're so far behind.
01:34You've actually completely stuffed up the schedule.
01:36You'll have a nice, tiled room.
01:38This is a complete disaster, this whole scenario.
01:40We get it. We're a disappointment.
01:42What do you want?
01:44Stop listening to them, Evelyn. Walk away from them.
01:52I can't stand the rain
01:54against my window
01:56I heard the rain coming down this morning.
01:58Hard.
02:00Bringing back sweet memories
02:02So, unfortunately,
02:04when the rain comes,
02:06dust turns to mud.
02:08The weather was terrible.
02:10Muddy.
02:12How sweet it used to be
02:14Oh, yeah.
02:16It's been a long time.
02:18It's been a long time.
02:20Oh, yuck.
02:22The rain.
02:24Yuck.
02:26I know it's a first world problem,
02:28but there's mud everywhere.
02:30Because of the rain,
02:32around the buildings at the moment
02:34it's going to be slippery as hell,
02:36so please be wary of that, be mindful,
02:38but try not to trip over and hurt yourself.
02:40Be nice to each other. See you tomorrow.
02:44As the day gets off to a soggy start,
02:46House 4, Colin Brown
02:48are saying goodbye to their family
02:50who stayed over after yesterday's challenge.
02:56Love you.
02:58Look, it's hard to say goodbye,
03:00but I know it's only three more weeks
03:02and we get to see them,
03:04and they are a lot of the reason to why we're here,
03:06and we're here because we're trying to
03:08make a better life
03:10for ourselves and our kids.
03:12Early start, isn't it?
03:14I needed to stay strong.
03:17The kids are probably the only thing
03:19that I actually draw emotion with,
03:21so I knew if I didn't cry,
03:23they wouldn't cry.
03:25I love you. Love you too.
03:27I'm going to miss you.
03:29Has missing the family been the hardest thing
03:31about the block?
03:33100% the hardest thing is missing the family.
03:37Yeah.
03:39Kylie's the hardest part of the block.
03:41It's fair.
03:43But the hardest part of your life in general,
03:45so it's not just the block.
03:47Oh.
03:49We'll see you in a couple of weeks.
03:51Yeah. Hopefully.
03:53Get it done.
03:55Get it done.
04:09There's just a lot to do
04:11in a very short amount of time.
04:13It's Friday.
04:15We're getting close to Saturday,
04:17which is last chance,
04:19and there's just so much work to be done.
04:21So, yeah, it's quite stressful.
04:23We got home yesterday,
04:25and apparently
04:27they finished waterproofing the laundry,
04:29and the boys left it for three seconds,
04:31and they came back to footprints
04:33on the waterproofing.
04:35And then they had to re-waterproof
04:37the entire floor again.
04:39The damage to the waterproofing essentially
04:41caused another delay,
04:43which is so frustrating,
04:45because we're already behind.
04:47Hopefully today
04:49they will start tiling,
04:51and then hopefully they can smash it out fast.
04:55In theory, the girls' laundry
04:57will feature a wall of white subway tiles.
04:59They'll include a toilet
05:01alongside a short wall of cabinetry,
05:03which will house the washer and dryer.
05:05And they'll add open shelves
05:07above for extra storage.
05:09And as the tiler arrived this morning,
05:11there's another problem.
05:13So on the block, when we do waterproofing,
05:15we require a waterproofing certificate
05:17from the waterproofer.
05:19Once we get that, they can start tiling.
05:21We walked in this morning.
05:23We looked at the waterproof on the ground.
05:25It looks great. The only thing is,
05:27we're waiting on a waterproofing certificate
05:29that hasn't been sent yet,
05:31so everyone's at a standstill, really.
05:33It's gonna be another hour. The tiler's not happy.
05:35He's just driven from Melbourne two hours away.
05:37He doesn't seem to get in there straight away.
05:39That hasn't happened.
05:41Come from Melbourne, this is the second time now.
05:43Get it done, get it signed off, and hurry up.
05:45He's about to walk.
05:47This is becoming a nightmare.
05:49Absolute shambles.
05:53Hey, how you going?
05:55Would I be able to ask you something?
05:57Are you by any chance free today
05:59to come to the block
06:01to do a quick job for me?
06:03No, not really, sorry.
06:05Oh, okay.
06:07After borrowing House 2's tilers
06:09earlier in the week,
06:11they've had to leave yesterday
06:13before the job was complete.
06:15So we've got tilers out on the floor
06:17so that, like, Kinsman could put
06:19the cabinetry and the laundry,
06:21but they didn't finish off,
06:23so we are trying to find a tiler.
06:25House 5's laundry
06:27will feature a wall of cabinetry,
06:29stacked washer and dryer,
06:31full of heaps of bench space
06:33and storage, and a place to hang clothes.
06:37But with no tiler on site,
06:39Christian is hoping one of his neighbours
06:41might be able to help out.
06:43Have you guys got tilers in today
06:45by any chance?
06:47No, we don't. They're done and dusted.
06:49What have you missed?
06:51Still got just some skirt tilers to do,
06:53and the laundry.
06:55The thing that's been the hardest for us
06:57throughout the whole season is just locking in trades.
06:59It's so hard to get trades down to Phillip Island.
07:03Hey, Bradley.
07:05Whatever it is, no.
07:07Quick question.
07:09Are your tilers still here?
07:11No, they're not.
07:13Are they local?
07:15No, they're not.
07:17In need of a tiler desperately.
07:19So we checked in with House 1.
07:21Hello.
07:23How are you?
07:25Not good.
07:27Dan can explain. It's a disaster.
07:29You know you're having a bad day
07:31when you've got two different shoes on.
07:33And that's what's happening in here right now.
07:35Is that on purpose?
07:37No, it's because I couldn't find my other shoes.
07:39That's the story of today, I think.
07:41We're just waiting on a waterproofing certificate
07:43so we can start.
07:45Do you have a tiler for standing around doing nothing?
07:47Yeah, do you want him?
07:49That's literally what I'm coming for.
07:51But as soon as we're ready, we're going to have to get him back.
07:53So Christian meets with House 1's tiler
07:55and takes him back to his joint
07:57to show him the job.
07:59I'd love to do it for you.
08:01I'd love to say yes, but if they say get down there...
08:03You don't want to be set up here.
08:05I'll be stuck.
08:07Let me double check.
08:09We're sort of waiting
08:11and hope that House 1's tiler
08:13will finish off as much as they can
08:15and then pop over here for about an hour or two
08:17to get us out of trouble.
08:19But if not...
08:21Worst case scenario, we'll go...
08:23Alright.
08:25Our builders are going to turn into tilers for a couple of hours.
08:27It's not that hard.
08:29I've sort of done it a million times.
08:31Oh, I've told Dan multiple times
08:33if we didn't have him as our builder,
08:35I don't know if I would have
08:37made it through this far.
08:39He can do everything.
08:41He can do everything and deal with us at the same time.
08:43Which is hard.
08:47She's up, you see.
08:49She's up and about.
08:51Oh, little princess.
08:53How are you?
08:55Good having them both stay the night.
08:57You're so cute, look at you.
09:01We got to christen the guest bed,
09:03so she stayed the night here.
09:05Had a little heater in there.
09:07Never been slept in before.
09:09No, that was good.
09:11You were a bit squawky last night, weren't you?
09:13The hard thing was probably playing Donkey Kong
09:15while listening to a baby crying.
09:17Had to get over that, but eventually managed
09:19to work out the volume control,
09:21or get it loud enough for her to drown it out.
09:23It was all good.
09:25Hey.
09:27What is this, a little dog outfit?
09:29No, it looks like a dog.
09:31I don't know, some sort of animal.
09:33Rick jokes around a bit,
09:35but we both love having him around.
09:37We know that we're here for a couple of reasons,
09:39and that's definitely one of the biggest ones.
09:41We're fighting for something for a reason.
09:43We're dead serious about this whole competition,
09:45and that's why we're working so hard.
09:47For their laundry this week,
09:49the boys will include a stacked washer and dryer,
09:51loads of bench space,
09:53and a spot for storing shoes and jackets.
09:57Their final guest bedroom will be aimed at kids,
09:59featuring a bunk with a trundle bed,
10:01a small desk,
10:03and lots of space to play.
10:05And these guys are currently ahead of the pack.
10:07We're on fire this week.
10:09There's a good vibe in the house.
10:11We're in a really good spot.
10:13Started painting last night, so got a first coat on.
10:15Paint the bedroom, finish that complete,
10:17and then start working our way downstairs.
10:19Hopefully start painting
10:21the little laundry area.
10:23Did you have a good night?
10:25Yeah, I actually thoroughly enjoy painting.
10:27Really?
10:29Maybe not thoroughly,
10:31but it's definitely worse things than painting.
10:33Falling down the stairs,
10:35having a mud brush sitting in the car
10:37that I can't use,
10:39drinking a warm beer.
10:41So, you know, it could always be worse.
10:43Coming up,
10:45it gets a whole lot worse
10:47for Maddie and Charlotte.
10:49It just feels like everything's against us.
10:51I was just having a very overwhelming day.
10:53I was like, I feel so out of my depth.
10:55So many things go wrong,
10:57and then we're inconveniencing other people.
10:59It just makes me upset, you know?
11:01We're trying our best, but not good enough, so...
11:09Everywhere you go
11:11Always take the weather
11:13with you
11:15Everywhere you go
11:17Always take the weather
11:19It's Friday morning on the block,
11:21and after yesterday's challenge,
11:23some family members have stuck around.
11:25Don't say it, Lulu.
11:27Twee!
11:29Why didn't you tell us?
11:31He was eight years old when I was born.
11:33We're both so close to our families,
11:35so any kind of
11:37family time we can get is amazing.
11:39And it's been ages since...
11:41I don't want to say ages,
11:43I mean a very long time since
11:45me and my two brothers were together.
11:47So, yeah, it was really, really nice.
11:49Oh, hello, hello.
11:51Grant? How are you?
11:53Grant?
11:55They're my carbon copies.
11:57Courtney!
11:59I missed you, mate.
12:01You don't look like Grant. Did you have a great time?
12:03We did, we did.
12:05Thank you so much for coming. We love having you here.
12:07But the show must go on as they say.
12:09Yes.
12:11So, beat it, all you lot.
12:13No, no, no, no, no, no.
12:15I'm only joking.
12:17It's so hard. You want them to stay, but you're also like,
12:19I don't want to be giving you half of my attention right now
12:21because there's just so much to do.
12:23Take your copies and get out of here.
12:25So we said goodbye to them at the cafe,
12:27and I guess we'll see them in, what,
12:29three or four weeks.
12:31Kaboom!
12:33In-house wild mare
12:35waterproofing certificate has finally
12:37come through, so the Tyler has been
12:39able to start in the girls' laundry.
12:41But with the amount of work ahead of him,
12:43it doesn't look like he'll have much
12:45time to help out house five today.
12:47Maddie's twin brother
12:49Jack is also still on site,
12:51and Charlotte wastes no time putting
12:53him to work. I need this garage
12:55cleared, not adding more stuff.
12:57Where are we going to put that in? I don't know.
12:59Jack, obviously. Sorry, mate.
13:01He's such a hard worker,
13:03such a comfort
13:05for us, and we're so grateful to have him
13:07here.
13:09You're new? I'm the
13:11brother. You're the brother?
13:13Of Maddie and Charlotte, twin.
13:15Oh, OK, nice. Awesome.
13:17So they're getting me delivered to cleaning up
13:19at the camp. Cleaning up? I know.
13:21Have you been inducted? Got your white card and insurances?
13:23I haven't got my white card yet.
13:25You haven't got your white card? No.
13:27What are you working for? I'm just
13:29putting a few things in the bin.
13:31Can't be doing that. As a labourer.
13:33Well, you haven't got a white card. Oh, right.
13:35Mate, drop this. Stop
13:37this. Stop work. Where's the girls?
13:39Girls?
13:41Charlotte!
13:43Maddie. Hello.
13:45What's
13:47wrong? I've just met your brother. Yeah?
13:49He's doing
13:51stuff in here. Yeah, I was told I was
13:53clean. That's why I haven't touched any tools, and I was
13:55just moving around things. No white card, not
13:57inducted. Oh. What's going on?
13:59Oh, sorry, I didn't know that they're not allowed to
14:01help just clean.
14:03You're not allowed to do anything if you're not inducted.
14:05This is not on. Uh-huh. Say he
14:07gets injured. Uh-huh. What happens?
14:09Not good.
14:11Look at the garage, moving things around.
14:13Yeah, yeah, sorry. He could trip over, seriously
14:15injure himself. The whole block shut
14:17down, everyone. Yep.
14:19Can't work, mate. That's right.
14:21That's right.
14:23Sorry, Dan.
14:25Streams only. Okay.
14:27Okay, that's cool. That's good to know.
14:29Alright, thanks, Dan. Come on.
14:31Alright.
14:35Um, so Friday,
14:37yeah, we're putting on track to deliver.
14:41How's it going, mate? Just getting there.
14:43Scotty and Shelley had their
14:45walk-arounds. Now, family day
14:47yesterday, unreal. Had a good time. Yeah.
14:49Thank you for bringing them down. We very much appreciate that.
14:51They had an absolute ball.
14:53That's awesome. Let's give you a little spring in your step
14:55for the next few weeks. Yeah, really good.
14:57Yeah, we definitely needed it, that's for sure.
14:59This gives us the energy and the motivation
15:01to keep going. And remember why you were doing
15:03this in the first place? Yeah, definitely. It's really easy
15:05in the middle of the block to sort of get lost in, why did we
15:07ever audition for this?
15:09What was our thought process of putting ourselves through this
15:11pain? And now you've seen your kids
15:13go, that's why they're here. That's the reason.
15:15Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Yeah.
15:17Hey, are we having a little of the laundry? Is that what we're doing? Sure.
15:19Sure, and upstairs? Yes.
15:21Let's go.
15:23House 4 have the largest laundry on the block.
15:25It'll include a full wall of their
15:27signature black cabinetry, which will hide
15:29a washer and dryer. Opposite,
15:31they'll have an open space under the stairs
15:33for storing shoes and appliances.
15:37Well, very advanced.
15:39Very good. Yeah, great.
15:41You guys are ticking along, aren't you?
15:43I love a big laundry. Yeah.
15:45Nice big size laundry.
15:47And storage underneath there. Well, I'm actually
15:49just going to put a little bit of a bench seat with some
15:51hanging hooks for bags and coats and things like that.
15:53Yeah, so a little mudroom, come in here,
15:55drop all your bits and pieces. Yep, tuck your shoes under the bench
15:57seat, hang your coat, hang your bag, and then
15:59into the house. Yes. Look, the fact that you've got this
16:01in on a Friday morning is fantastic.
16:03Yeah, we're very impressed with the progression.
16:05We've actually, we've sort of come
16:07along quite quickly, so. But it also means
16:09you get 10 bodies out of your house. Yeah.
16:11So that you can do anything else. Yeah.
16:13Alright, let's head upstairs. House 4's
16:15guest bedroom in the mezzanine will include
16:17a feature wall of grey and white striped
16:19wallpaper. They'll contrast this
16:21with a wavy bedhead.
16:23And by the window, there's a wardrobe
16:25with a bench seat to take in the view.
16:27Do we want to step into the scaffold?
16:29Oh, look, let's have a little sticky beak
16:31in there. You've got a lot of work to do. There's not much going on in there.
16:33So a nice little kinsman banquette.
16:35So we've got a cushion coming that we've
16:37had fabricated to go on top of the cabinetry.
16:39Nice. And just this extraordinary
16:41ceiling. Yes. Lots of painting.
16:43Lots of painting.
16:45I think I'll be whipping the spray gun out again.
16:47That's the go. Spray it. Yeah.
16:49Budget is pretty good.
16:51Not too bad. You guys have been pretty
16:53solid all the way through, hey? Yeah, definitely.
16:55I've been doing really well with my Combank
16:57budget, because that's something that I'm very
16:59adamant at always staying on top of.
17:01And we have
17:03$89,000 left.
17:05It's been good, so you'll have some money for landscape work,
17:07which will be good. Yeah. Because you've got
17:09a lot to do. We do, yeah.
17:11I think points at your ceiling.
17:13Your ceiling. Did you hear that? That was your ceiling.
17:15My ceiling. Your ceiling.
17:17We are in a good position for
17:19Friday, but unfortunately the
17:21mammoth task of painting still
17:23looms. Yeah, we definitely need that extra time.
17:25Yeah.
17:27Hello. Hello.
17:29Hello. Where are you?
17:31Here I come.
17:33Hello. Hello.
17:35Come down.
17:37How are we supposed to get up there?
17:39I think we'll come and meet you.
17:41Let's come into the kitchen for today.
17:43House 2's compact
17:45laundry space will feature a washer,
17:47dryer and drying cabinet.
17:49They'll also continue their signature marvel
17:51for the benchtop and splashback.
17:53In the mezzanine, they've taken
17:55on the judge's advice, moving their
17:57cabinetry into the rumpus roof
17:59and adding a sliding barn door
18:01so the space can be closed off and private.
18:03The bedroom will then include
18:05an olive green feature wall, king
18:07bed and two large artworks.
18:09We always wanted
18:11to have like a second main bedroom, like we've
18:13always said that, so main downstairs and main
18:15upstairs, so we've added a barn door where
18:17that sitting area is, so that whole area
18:19is going to be your main suite.
18:21This is definitely a boss move,
18:23having two main suites.
18:25Our market, like it's for that
18:27premium buyer, there's lots
18:29of high-end finishes,
18:31amazing artwork and beautiful
18:33furniture, and then
18:35just having two main suites. That's a
18:37massive selling point. Budget,
18:39not too bad. Could be better, but it's alright.
18:41We need, yeah, our budget is
18:43Last week we took a bit of a hit
18:45We're 10 grand behind. Yeah, I know.
18:47If we got a 10 and 10 grand,
18:49we might be able to have a front yard right now.
18:51We've got a front yard.
18:53We were supposed to have 75,000
18:55come the start of landscaping,
18:5775,000, we have 65,000
18:59if we stick to budget this
19:01week. So a win this week is like imperative.
19:03Yeah.
19:05Can you believe in two days'
19:07time, your house is going to be finished?
19:09I know. Supposedly. Supposedly.
19:11Yeah, I was going to say, I don't know, I can't believe it right now.
19:13We'll get it done. We'll always get it done.
19:15A few weeks to go. This is it.
19:17See you guys. Thanks, guys. Thanks for coming.
19:19I don't
19:21want to finish the inside.
19:23I feel like I'm going to cry.
19:25Feels like it is slipping away a little bit.
19:27I wish we had a few more wins.
19:29I wish we, you know, got a bit
19:31more recognition of what we did on the inside, but
19:33I don't want the competition to end.
19:35Like, we're having so much fun
19:37and, yeah,
19:39I don't know. I'm just
19:41tired.
19:49Which contestants do you
19:51think are creating a winning room this week?
19:53To cast your vote, all you have to do
19:55is head to the Block website now.
19:57And while you're there, don't forget
19:59to check out all of our amazing
20:01room galleries.
20:17Hello.
20:19Oh, Frankie.
20:21Hello. Hi.
20:23I like this picture.
20:25Last week we saw sad faces.
20:27This week we're seeing happy faces.
20:29Mine's all the front.
20:31Still stressed on the inside. No, this week's
20:33been good. Just today's a little bit.
20:35And you got that beautiful visit from your family
20:37and your divine little niece.
20:39Hello.
20:41Oh, my goodness. That's the cutest little
20:43cherub I've ever seen.
20:45That had to have lifted your spirit.
20:47Yeah, definitely. And I've got to say, mate,
20:49you put in a massive effort
20:51on that dunking thing.
20:53It was freezing in that water
20:55and you would have got dunked a hundred times.
20:57Come on, you can do it. You can do it.
21:03No, no, no, no.
21:05Everyone's got good throws here
21:07so it's sort of like...
21:09It was good fun. All the kids
21:11loved it. Well, it was nice to see a comeback
21:13from House 5 for a win.
21:15First one. Yeah.
21:17First challenge win. And a good one to win.
21:19$10,000. Thank you very
21:21much, Arnett Smith. Thank you, Arnett.
21:23Seriously, fun fair. You did need that.
21:25You look as though you've lost weight in the face, mate.
21:27Oh, really? Yes. Oh, that's a good thing.
21:29He has.
21:31He's worked so hard. Yeah. The block diet.
21:33He's worked like a Trojan
21:35for ten weeks, Mimi. Yep.
21:37I know.
21:39Wait, is that a dig at me? No.
21:41Just saying he's worked like a Trojan.
21:43Mimi works hard. Mentally.
21:45House 5's
21:47laundry will feature a stacked washer and dryer,
21:49drying cabinet and heaps
21:51of storage. Their guest bedroom
21:53will include a wall of cabinetry
21:55and a study nook.
21:57It'll be hidden behind a port-a-timber-nib wall
21:59and they'll style the room with
22:01a king bed, armchair and artwork.
22:03You've
22:05had some really good wins with bedrooms
22:07and we're back doing a bedroom this week.
22:09So, how are you feeling about this one?
22:11We're feeling good and confident because we like
22:13our ideas, but just unsure because
22:15the judges wanted us to switch back.
22:17Because you know how we did that pool room?
22:19And they wanted this to be the rumpus.
22:21Last week, these guys decided
22:23to switch up their floor plan, turning
22:25the guest bedroom that's situated near
22:27the pool into the rumpus room
22:29and making the rumpus room a large
22:31bedroom, which is what they'll be
22:33presenting this week.
22:35But the judges weren't fans of the flip.
22:37Alright.
22:39If you are going to change the floor plan
22:41to your advantage, you have to
22:43blow us away. This has zero
22:45connection to
22:47lifestyle outside. I disagree with them
22:49because that should be the rumpus room going on
22:51to the swimming pool. But what they
22:53were saying is it didn't function
22:55as a pool cabana.
22:57So we can change that around.
22:59So it's too much of a lounge room
23:01and not enough of a wet space.
23:03Okay, gotcha, gotcha. Just fix that up
23:05and stick to the bedroom. I think this is a beautiful bedroom.
23:07Thank you. With all that natural light
23:09coming in, that's an amazing bedroom.
23:11Yeah, this is a great room. Thank you.
23:13But just dress it up and fix it and you'll
23:15win it. Yeah, hopefully. That's the goal.
23:17I hope that the judges
23:19will walk into our guest bedroom and be like,
23:21okay, I get it.
23:23We love it. But I don't
23:25know.
23:27I'm not going to get my hopes up.
23:29In house
23:31one, Maddie and Charlotte are
23:33finally seeing progress in their mezzanine
23:35bedroom. There's gyprockers
23:37everywhere trying to gyprock
23:39but they're scaffolding so everyone's
23:41on top of each other. It's chaotic.
23:43The girls fell
23:45behind earlier in the week trying to get their plans
23:47for an elevated bed off the ground.
23:49Yeah, it's definitely holding us up.
23:51It's Wednesday and there's nothing being done.
23:53Hi, Aiden. It's Maddie. How are you going?
23:55Good. Thank you, Maddie. So I've just
23:57got off the phone for the building surveyor.
23:59You are good to go.
24:01Really? Really?
24:03You are good to go. It's only
24:05lunchtime on Wednesday and you can finally
24:07start. Now that it's been approved,
24:09the elevated double bed will sit
24:11above a queen bed. They'll have a
24:13wardrobe to the side and
24:15opposite will be a small kitchenette.
24:17But now that their bedroom
24:19is coming along, they've fallen
24:21way behind in their laundry
24:23and they're the only team who don't
24:25have their Kingsman cabinetry installed yet.
24:27Are all the other laundries in?
24:29Everything's done.
24:31That has to mean nowhere near it.
24:37Not only do we have
24:39the tilers here who need to essentially
24:41tile an entire room in like
24:43one day, but Bryce from
24:45Kingsman wants to put his cabinet in because he
24:47wanted to put it in yesterday. Foreman
24:49Dan is in our ear being like, Bryce needs
24:51to put in the cabinets and you're so far behind.
24:53But what can you do?
24:55Nothing I can do.
24:57Well, what Foreman Dan
24:59and Bryce had asked the girls to do
25:01was to tile the floors first
25:03so Kingsman could get in today
25:05while they were on site and
25:07install the cabinets on top of the tiles.
25:09The girls could then finish tiling
25:11the rest of the room around the cabinets.
25:13But instead, Maddie and
25:15Charlotte have opted to tile the walls
25:17first before any cabinets
25:19can go in. I don't know if some
25:21people understand the order that things need to happen.
25:23We've got four houses
25:25that have got all their areas
25:27prepped, they've got it all waterproofed,
25:29they've got it all tiled, they've got all their joinery in.
25:31They're all done. We've got one house
25:33that haven't even got the floor tiled.
25:35So who's given the direction
25:37for the tilers to tile the wall
25:39before cabinets?
25:41They
25:43can't come back tomorrow, so it's either
25:45we have a tiled
25:47floor and that's
25:49nothing. Yeah, a tiled floor's fine. Get the floor done
25:51because we need to get our cabinets on the floor.
25:53We have a tiled floor and then
25:55a cabinet in and that's it. Or
25:57we have tiles
25:59and
26:01no cabinetry, or we put
26:03in the cabinetry. I say, have you given the direction?
26:05So I was under the impression that
26:07it was better to tile
26:09and then put the cabinet
26:11on top. And for us, it was better to
26:13have tiles behind so that if someone
26:15in the future did want to change cabinetry, they
26:17could do that. Can I just say
26:19this is just ridiculous because
26:21now
26:23you're putting tiles on a wall that most
26:25of it's going to be covered by cabinets
26:27so you're paying for that
26:29waste of product. So when we put the vanity
26:31in in the bathroom,
26:33we put that in after the tiles were done.
26:35That's the only room you'll ever do it where a vanity
26:37is. But essentially, the
26:39laundry cabinet's kind of like a bathroom. Laundry bench, completely different.
26:41House 1 only care about
26:43themselves and their own schedule. They're
26:45disrespecting Kingsman and all our other
26:47trades. They don't even care what we want. It's what
26:49they want. And as it stands right now,
26:51Kingsman won't be installing the laundry.
26:53You've actually completely stuffed up the schedule
26:55to do it. You'll have a nice tiled room. Yeah.
26:57Sorry. It's really disappointing.
26:59I know Bryce is disappointed.
27:01Either way, it's a lose-lose.
27:03Oh no, because you would have
27:05had 80%
27:07of that room done.
27:09You would have had a splashback. It would have been questionable.
27:11That's all.
27:13This is a complete disaster, this whole scenario.
27:15Okay, well thanks
27:17Bryce. I appreciate your patience.
27:19I know it's inconvenient for you.
27:21I understand your situation.
27:23You're trying to get something done and it's always
27:25a difficult situation. So I know where you're
27:27coming from, but there's
27:29different ways of achieving the results.
27:31Thanks Bryce. No worries.
27:33That's a shame, mate, not getting your product in.
27:35Well, you know,
27:37we've all been trying to get something done, right?
27:39You're just having another go at me. I'm like,
27:41just leave me alone. Who's this?
27:43Bryce and Jan. Just ignore them.
27:45Who cares? We're doing it ourselves. We've already told them
27:47we're doing it ourselves. They might be
27:49young, but the sisters have a lot of
27:51experience under their belts, having already
27:53flipped seven houses.
27:55So they aren't afraid to get hands on
27:57and tackle the hard reno jobs themselves.
27:59Guys, we just sold!
28:01Really? Did you do well?
28:03Very well.
28:05From the beginning
28:07we said we're happy to install our own kinsmen.
28:09So in that sense, we weren't
28:11too worried about waiting
28:13on the kinsmen people.
28:15We were just going to tile at the rate
28:17we tiled. Just leave it, Mellon. Stop
28:19stressing about that. We can't control that.
28:21I don't understand why they just keep having a go at us.
28:23We get it. We're a disappointment.
28:25What do you want? Stop listening to them, Mellon.
28:27Walk away from them.
28:29It's literally not helpful. We can't do any more than we're doing.
28:31I was just having a very
28:33overwhelming day. I was so tired.
28:35I was a little bit hormonal
28:37and I just wasn't feeling myself
28:39and I was like, I feel so out of
28:41my depth. They're just causing drama. They're just trying
28:43to get under your skin and it's working.
28:45Dan, you're making my sister cry. I don't appreciate it.
28:47How did I make her cry?
28:49Goodbye.
28:51This is a no, Danzo.
28:55No, Danzo.
29:25It's
29:47Friday afternoon on the block
29:49and in house four, Brad has just
29:51noticed an issue with the light fittings
29:53that have been installed in their bedroom.
29:55I don't reckon those lights are in the right spot.
29:57No, they will be with the
29:59king bed. No, because they haven't allowed
30:01for this.
30:03The Sparkies have not allowed for the wardrobe in the room
30:05and have placed all the lighting dead centre.
30:07So now you can't
30:09open the wardrobe without
30:11standing on the bedside table.
30:13When house four planned their
30:15guest bedroom, they told my Sparkies
30:17to install the lights in the middle
30:19of the room, not accounting for the
30:21cabinetry that would go in by the window.
30:23So the light fittings now
30:25need to move roughly 60mm to the left.
30:27I told them, the middle.
30:29They've f***ed it.
30:31The blasters are sanding. It's finished being topped
30:33and everything. The Sparkies have gone
30:35and fit off as well. What can you do?
30:37It's all got to come off
30:39and then get moved
30:41and then patched and then wait for that to dry
30:43and then sand it. That's not what you want on a Friday,
30:45is it? I don't know why
30:47they thought that there was
30:49going to be no wardrobe in a bedroom.
30:51When has that ever been a thing?
30:53Well, they asked me. Doesn't matter.
30:55Centre is still centre. They allow for the wardrobe.
30:57It's not their first wardrobe.
30:59That was my mistake. He tries to blame
31:01the Sparkies, but it was 100% me.
31:03So I was like, yeah, centre of the room.
31:05Exactly how it is. Not realising
31:07we still had cabinets to go in.
31:09Well, lucky Brad is an electrician
31:11and can move the lights himself.
31:13It's very handy having a
31:15Brad. I'm sure
31:17everyone will want one.
31:19He comes at a price.
31:21Are you fixing it, mate?
31:23Who else is going to do it?
31:25I just
31:27think it's still pretty ******
31:29that
31:31we're weak or whatever
31:33and the question wasn't even asked.
31:35A few patches, it'll be all right.
31:39It's ******.
31:47In the deserts
31:49of Sudan
31:51and the gardens
31:53of Japan
31:55from Milan
32:01every man
32:03every man
32:05Yeah, well, hopefully we actually have a laundry
32:07to put them in.
32:09Scotty and Shelley came for a visit.
32:13It's a little bit muddy there, isn't it?
32:15It's amazing how a little bit of rain
32:17just puts a dampener on everything, doesn't it?
32:19Good to see you're working hard. Look at your pan.
32:21Look at your clothes.
32:23You're doing it. You're going hard. Been up since 4.30
32:25painting this morning. Have you? Yep.
32:27Good effort. Let's have a look at your laundry.
32:29Okay. Well, there's not much to see.
32:31House one have a compact laundry space
32:33and are hoping to include a toilet
32:35beside a wall of cabinetry
32:37that will store the washer and dryer.
32:39Just outside the laundry is a
32:41mudroom area that'll feature a small
32:43bed set and a full-size storage cabin.
32:47So this is our laundry in here.
32:49How's your laundry tracking? Not very well.
32:51We had a little bit of a disaster yesterday. Someone stepped on our
32:53waterproofing when we were at the challenge
32:55and we didn't see it. So we had to re-waterproof
32:57the whole thing. Oh no.
32:59We were already behind and then it milled
33:01right and then someone stepped on it so it's pushed us back
33:03so it's been a bit of a disaster.
33:05We'll be fine. Hopefully we'll get there.
33:07You'll get there. Yeah.
33:09You are looking a bit beaten this week, I have to say.
33:11They don't look happy. They don't look happy.
33:13And you think all the other contestants, this is like
33:15they've been here a long time. They're on the uplift
33:17now because they're going home but you guys are
33:19in that middle slump.
33:21Yeah.
33:23Been a big week.
33:25You're not digging it, are you?
33:27No.
33:29Let's go upstairs.
33:31Upstairs in the girls' mezzanine bedroom, the hero
33:33of the space will be the elevated bed.
33:35And opposite they'll include a small
33:37kitchenette.
33:39It's very, very hard for the elevated bed.
33:41Yes, Shel. Okay. It's all about the terminology.
33:43It is. Who would have thought there is so many
33:45standards, regulations. There's a book like this
33:47thick on elevated beds and bunk beds.
33:49Obviously for kids' safety we're talking here.
33:51Yeah. Like we've said, we wanted
33:53to create a room that still
33:55felt luxe but had the
33:57functionality of sleeping for
33:59people. But we didn't want to just put
34:01a bunk bed in because we wanted
34:03to do more than that. Yes.
34:05I personally just don't think you can create a luxe
34:07room with a standard
34:09bunk bed that you buy in a flat pack.
34:11You've got a self-contained
34:13apartment. Essentially. Yeah.
34:15But we're not calling it that.
34:17The block legal department would like to support Scotty Cam here. The block season
34:1920 is made up of holiday homes designed for more than one family
34:21but the houses are not designed to be split up in any way.
34:23Your Aunty Mabel can stay in the fourth bedroom and make her own dinner
34:25because she's still not talking to your Uncle Fred since that thing that happened
34:27last Christmas. However, her room is still strictly part of the house. Thank you.
34:29We're not cooking. You've got a self-contained
34:31space. Guest retreat. Space.
34:33Guest retreat. A retreat. But you can cook tea
34:35in if you wanted to. Yeah, I mean... Basic amenities.
34:37Basic amenities, right? Like, you know,
34:39you can have a cup of tea, a coffee,
34:41you can heat up your light and easy. It's great.
34:43We just want to be a versatile space. Yes.
34:45People can do whatever they want. I really want you
34:47to think about what you've achieved so far.
34:49I know you're having a crappy week but
34:51really, you've only been here
34:53a handful of weeks and I know
34:55you're perfectionists. I know you want to do the best
34:57job possible. Yeah. You're doing a
34:59great job. Thanks, Shelley. Thanks.
35:01Right-o. Let's group hug. Come on. Come on.
35:03Scotty's initiating a hug. He's getting
35:05soppy. Look at him.
35:07Maybe it's just us. Yeah.
35:09It is just you. It is just you.
35:11It is just you. That's the last hug of the day.
35:13Yeah. I don't hug anybody
35:15else. See you, girls. Good work. See you later.
35:17Bye.
35:19We're having a bit of a hard day and a bit of an
35:21emotional day.
35:23So, Shelley gave us a little pep talk
35:25and a big
35:27mama hug. You're doing amazing things.
35:29Oh, my God.
35:31It feels like everything's against us.
35:35Probably is this week.
35:37But everything is going against you this week.
35:39Yeah. It happens.
35:41But you know you're going to get through it because you have got
35:43through it. Yeah. No, it'll be fine.
35:45It's just like so many things go wrong
35:47and then we're inconveniencing other people
35:49and it just makes me upset, you know?
35:51I don't want to let anyone down. No.
35:53I feel like we're constantly
35:55trying to not drown
35:57as she's a lot because I feel like
35:59we're trying our best but not good enough.
36:01That's all right.
36:27That's all right.
36:29Hello, boys.
36:31Hi, mate. How are you?
36:33I don't need to be sexist but men
36:35in the laundry, this is a good look. I like
36:37this. House 3's
36:39spacious laundry will feature heaps of
36:41storage. Under the stairs they'll have
36:43a space for shoes and jackets.
36:45They'll also have a separate powder room
36:47which they'll style with a wall of peach
36:49subway tiles and a basin to
36:51match. Interesting
36:53that the judges said your cabinetry in
36:55the kitchen was a bit boring.
36:57It just looks like the stuff you get
36:59off the shelf. I would
37:01actually beg Kinsman to
37:03change all these white cabinets to
37:05this beautiful oak.
37:07But you're stuck with the white in here and I think it looks
37:09fresh and clean and lovely. Thanks, Shel.
37:11We're stuck to it but we think that it's
37:13really coastal. It's practical. Yeah, it's coastal
37:15and... It's a utility space.
37:17Right. And you've only got to paint this, like it's just about done.
37:19Yep, yep. We've got the bedroom
37:21upstairs which we've been painting today. Let's go
37:23and have a look. House 3's mezzanine bedroom
37:25is aimed at kids and will include
37:27a bunk bed with a trundle pullout.
37:29It's going to be our second bunk room
37:31and obviously having a bunk room
37:33too next to that rumpus area too so the kids
37:35can obviously be playing in the rumpus room and then
37:37sleeping next door into the rumpus room. Sort of makes sense.
37:39You could get a little sofa
37:41bed in here. Mmm.
37:43And you've got six kids up here
37:45ripping it up together. Could.
37:47Like a little sitting... You've got to have something here.
37:49So what we've planned is a little desk
37:51and a nice big rug. Sort of
37:53a separate area from the rumpus area
37:55where kids can sort of chill out in their room.
37:57Adults can still use that space if they want. That's good.
37:59We weren't sure if we... And if you could get a couch
38:01that'd be better. Yeah, we wanted to get
38:03another bed in here, we just weren't
38:05sure if it was going to just crowd the space a bit.
38:07You want to have like two big families
38:09but able to sleep comfortably in the holiday house.
38:11So yeah, for us it was making sure we had the most
38:13amount of beds possible
38:15without being too cramped.
38:17And we've still run the least amount
38:19of rooms. We've won a few challenges
38:21but we're still... If there was a leaderboard
38:23for who's won the rooms, we're on the bottom.
38:25Yep, House 5 are at the top
38:27with four room wins so far.
38:29House 1 have scored two wins
38:31which is the same as House 2
38:33and House 4. And the boys
38:35are on the bottom with just one room
38:37win from last week under their
38:39tool belts. But having taken
38:41out six of the challengers, they've actually
38:43won the most money overall.
38:45A whopping 70 grand
38:47plus the bar crusher.
38:49Winners to grinners dinner. We've got
38:51some really good VIPs turning up.
38:53And we're going to some good joints too.
38:55Right. You need to be on board.
38:57And now you've got the taste for us.
38:59We want another one. Last week we obviously
39:01won some money but just ticking another
39:03couple of wins towards landscaping
39:05is really going to put us in a good position.
39:07So yeah, we've just got to keep punching
39:09and I think we're a good chance to compete
39:11for a win this week. Boys, we will
39:13see you at the barbie.
39:15Three feet. Change your duds.
39:17Come on down.
39:19Shelly and I have got one more stop to make
39:21today. Thanks guys.
39:25Ex-Block contestants
39:27Tom and Sarah Jane are on site
39:29cooking up a storm and promoting
39:31Breast Cancer Network Australia's
39:33Pink Tradie campaign.
39:37Hello.
39:39What have we got going
39:41on here? A barbie.
39:43I love a barbie.
39:45You go round there, Shel.
39:47I think you need to touch the baby.
39:49I'm on campaign for the Pink Tradie
39:51campaign and so every good
39:53politician brings a child.
39:55And every good politician grabs one.
39:57He was just a thought
39:59wasn't he when you guys were doing your nursery
40:01on the road? He was just laying low, just
40:03waiting for his opportunity.
40:05Tom and Sarah Jane were blockheads
40:07in Gisborne back in 2022.
40:09Hold my hand and pretend you love me.
40:11I'm pretending.
40:13You're a natural.
40:15I'm a natural. Pete said I'm a natural.
40:17And they quickly adapted
40:19to country life.
40:21Shout out to my parents who think that I'm
40:23useless on the tools.
40:27Are you not entertained?
40:29And despite putting in the hard yards
40:33It's a metaphor for my life right there.
40:35I was left disappointed
40:37at auction, walking
40:39away with just 20 grand.
40:41I don't know what to say.
40:43It's alright. It's surreal.
40:45It wasn't in our future.
40:49I know your block experience
40:51and I know you loved every minute but then we had
40:53that heartache auction day
40:55and then of course SJ, you went into
40:57surgery only what, a week after that?
40:59Yeah, so a week after
41:01auction. Yeah, I had my
41:03preventative double mastectomy. I grew up watching my mum
41:05fight breast cancer twice.
41:07So you decided you weren't putting your kids
41:09through what you went through.
41:11I made that decision being a BRCA1 gene carrier.
41:13It's something that I thought about
41:15for quite a while
41:17and I watched my sister have a preventative double mastectomy
41:19too. Then it's just been
41:21a journey since then. Then I had a baby
41:23and now we're here doing some advocacy
41:25and getting the word out about the Pink
41:27Tradie campaign. The Pink Tradie
41:29campaign encourages tradies
41:31to wear pink at work to start a
41:33conversation with their workmates about
41:35breast cancer. You know, when someone's
41:37diagnosed, it has that ripple effect
41:39through family, friends and everyone else.
41:41So BCNA work to make sure
41:43that the information and support is there
41:45when they need it. Blokes having a conversation
41:47on the work site,
41:49a pair of pink socks like that
41:51starts a conversation. That's it and they're just
41:53boobies, aren't they? They're just boobies.
41:55Just boobies.
41:57And now mine are extra perky
41:59forever.
42:01Yeah, that's it.
42:05Tom and Sarah Jane put on a great sausage sizzle.
42:07Real men wear pink, mate.
42:09I'll wear these on a daily basis anyways
42:11if I could, but even better
42:13when we get to support a good cause today.
42:15It feels like Christmas.
42:17We haven't had clean clothes in a long time.
42:19Mum
42:21recently battled breast cancer.
42:23I don't know. It was a massive part of our lives.
42:25Massive. Yeah, two years.
42:27So it came as a huge shock
42:29and it was a huge shift in thinking.
42:31You know, something that you think is not
42:33going to happen to your immediate family.
42:35It was hard to take at the time
42:37but, yeah, she got it early.
42:39You know, she had amazing doctors around her
42:41and that only happens with events like this
42:43and she's still with us.
42:45So it was really nice to support something that hits close to home.
42:47Put these on your head so that it can start
42:49a conversation.
42:51Look, it's definitely
42:53something that I think affects all
42:55Australian families, unfortunately.
42:57So I think if there is more awareness
42:59and people are getting checked and getting sorted,
43:01it's hopefully more
43:03avoidable.
43:05You look so sexy.
43:07Thanks, mate. All for a good cause.
43:09Can you breathe in those?
43:11No. The answer's no.
43:13Mate, if you want a pair,
43:15you've just got to ask. No, thanks.
43:21G'day,
43:23blockaholics. Shelley Craft here.
43:25The block may be making a sea change
43:27but the Official Block Podcast
43:29is still the destination
43:31for all your off-screen extras.
43:33Every Monday night I'll catch up with judges,
43:35contestants, all your fan favourites.
43:37Catch the Official Block Podcast online now
43:39or wherever you get your podcasts.
43:55So you're fully tolled? Fully tolled.
43:57Stonesy. Fully muttered.
43:59Okay, good. I think they're about to top this.
44:01Yep. Basically we
44:03need to get a crack on with painting
44:05to give us any chance of actually
44:07finishing these rooms.
44:09I've cut the ceiling and the wall in so the rest
44:11can be rolled. Okay, good.
44:13So we can drop this and start plastering the staircase now.
44:15You're in a pretty good spot. Yeah.
44:17I'm off shopping.
44:19You're holding the fort.
44:21Courtney grabs her block besties Mimi and Kylie.
44:23How are we supposed to get out?
44:25Watch me.
44:27And heads into Melbourne to pick up some styling items.
44:29Shopping's always
44:31good with the girls. They're definitely good value.
44:33Because we were saying how it's like
44:35you guys are calling each other baby and stuff
44:37and we're like we don't do that. You and Christian not?
44:39No, it's just Christian and Mimi.
44:41I call Grant like Grant Tholomew or Gant.
44:43I know, meanwhile I was like is that his name?
44:45No, no.
44:47I guess us girls have
44:49made really close friendships.
44:51I know it's a bit unheard of in some seasons
44:53but we get on really well and
44:55With all the girls?
44:57With my girls.
44:59So I guess it's just like every other season.
45:01It's not. Don't, it's not.
45:03I can't have too many friends,
45:05okay?
45:07Are you getting your period soon? I am.
45:09Oh God, don't even. No, I'm due on the first.
45:11I'm always the first of the month. Really?
45:13Yeah. That's handy.
45:15We stopped at JB High 5 for Kylie.
45:17Hello. Good to see you again.
45:19We're chasing vacuum cleaner
45:21and also a
45:23robotic mop vacuum.
45:25The only
45:27requirement
45:29is black. Black can be a little bit of a dust
45:31magnet so the thing I'm going to point
45:33to first is
45:35spinning
45:37Yeah, okay. Which not all of them have,
45:39especially the cheap ones. Yeah. Inside
45:41the tank there we have the dirty water tank.
45:43To be honest it is going on a white wall now that I think
45:45of it so maybe that will work.
45:47Thanks Josh.
45:49Hold on. Pass it through to me.
45:51There we
45:53go.
45:55Maddie's
45:57also made a trip to the shops
45:59but she's riding solo.
46:01All by
46:03myself
46:07Don't wanna be
46:09all by
46:11myself
46:13anymore
46:15Well
46:17I've got to actually
46:19do some shopping now. Um, my shopping
46:21went well. I went to Freedom and
46:23I got some options. I am
46:25styling two whole
46:27beds this week
46:29because I'm doing, you know, my elevated bed
46:31so I need like four of every, like
46:33four European cushions
46:35but then do I want these or do I want these?
46:37Like, so many options.
46:41Back at the block, the boys in House 3
46:43are still ahead of the pack.
46:45Guys have absolutely smashed it.
46:47Kev, Dunk, Harry, the boys. So,
46:49yeah, we're cruising. We're block fit, baby.
46:51Jeez, you're already painting the
46:53water closet. Yeah, man,
46:55so we're done upstairs. Done upstairs?
46:57Yeah, just ready for touch-ups. Now I'm just
46:59going to start going through here.
47:01Miles ahead. Oh, really? It's only
47:03Friday. Pretty good. I'm impressed.
47:05Thanks, mate. Your journey, you boys.
47:07Where you started to where you are. It's pretty impressive.
47:09You reckon? Yeah. I think some
47:11of the earlier rooms,
47:13just our time management wasn't up
47:15to scratch and we were forced to rush to
47:17the finish, which cost us.
47:19We're in here till about
47:21three.
47:23Got two hours of sleep
47:25and now just trying to hang my first
47:27ever door. So I think
47:29we've learned heaps of skills and I suppose
47:31just making sure we're on top of things earlier
47:33on in the week. We've come a long way. Yeah.
47:35Selections, quality of work, quality
47:37of paint. Everything's just
47:39going up. We try to listen, mate, when we can.
47:41That's good. Did you win last week?
47:43We did. Could be two in a row. We're aiming for it, mate.
47:45To think we're literally about to
47:47complete inside is
47:49it's a wild
47:51thing to even comprehend. And then all of a sudden
47:53we'll be outside and then it's all done.
47:55So we want to make sure that our
47:57last inside room that we do on the block is
47:59by far our best. Nice work,
48:01mate. Thanks, bud.
48:03G'day, mate.
48:05How are you? What's going on?
48:07Oh, just painting on a Friday, which is
48:09unusual. How good's that though?
48:11I know, it feels good.
48:13Don't remember the last time we started painting
48:15on a Friday, but it feels good.
48:17Still got a bit to go in the laundry, but
48:19no tiles were laid
48:21today, unfortunately. We still
48:23didn't find a tiler, which
48:25is frustrating, but I think our
48:27builder, Dan, is our backup plan to
48:29lay some tiles.
48:31Friday nearly tools down.
48:33Everyone's looking pretty good,
48:35except for house one.
48:41This is what it looks like when you're working on the block
48:43and have a time crunch. No time to let the tiles
48:45dry.
48:47They are still miles behind. They're going to be
48:49under the pump. They've got so much to do.
48:51It's kind of hard to visualise exactly
48:53how everything's going to work together
48:55or get done.
48:57I think we're going to have to
48:59We've got your stone
49:01benchtop. So when's the joinery
49:03getting installed?
49:05It's going to get installed tomorrow.
49:07Tomorrow morning, afternoon?
49:09Yeah, I think so.
49:11It's been two and a half, three days
49:13of just constant hounding, make sure
49:15it's ready, and it just didn't happen.
49:17Any reason why it was tiled before
49:19joinery?
49:21No.
49:23No?
49:25I'm just being told what to do.
49:27What to do?
49:29I don't know.
49:31Because we've got stone ready.
49:33When are we installing, or are you guys
49:35going to be installing? I don't mind either way.
49:37You've just got to be very careful with it
49:39because it's Taj Mahal. Are you here tomorrow?
49:41We won't be. Okay, well then we'll be
49:43installing it then, hey?
49:45We've installed stone before, so I'm not too
49:47worried, but it
49:49has got a cutout in it, so
49:51it's a bit more fragile, and it is natural stone,
49:53which I think can break quite easily.
49:55So, yeah.
49:57Hopefully nothing breaks. A bit of silicon,
49:59I'll leave you some silicon, and you just install.
50:01Yeah, perfect. Amazing. Thank you very much.
50:03No problem. Will they finish Sunday morning?
50:05I think the girls, having their experience,
50:07will probably just get over the line.
50:09At what expense, I don't know. I think the quality
50:11of painting or plastering mightn't be there
50:13because the plasters are rushing.
50:15They've still got to do all this joinery
50:17tomorrow, and they've got to install their own
50:19stone. So how that plays out,
50:21I don't know. Good luck, girls.
50:25Sunday night.
50:29The Blockheads prepare to deliver their
50:31final interior spaces.
50:33Do you reckon you should have went with a different colour
50:35than olive green, being that there's
50:37red and white stripes in the bathroom?
50:39We're not in the bathroom.
50:41Maddie and Charlotte have a mammoth task
50:43ahead. We have got so much
50:45to do. We are behind, for sure.
50:47We need to tile the backsplash,
50:49we need to paint the bedroom, and
50:51the hallway, and the laundry, and
50:53the mad room. It's somewhat satisfying actually
50:55putting these in.
50:57And when the rooms are revealed...
50:59Wow. How good is this?
51:01Some will impress.
51:03Bellissima. It's ticking
51:05every single box. This is
51:07a buyer's dream. While others have
51:09the judges locking horns again.
51:11They're trying to cover too many
51:13markets. What part of the market
51:15is this not hitting? I don't feel
51:17this does it well enough.
51:19I just... I don't.
51:23.
