00:00Today is the fourth and last day of the Philippines' hosting of the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.

00:25Inside the plenary hall of PACC, people are shouting, clapping and dancing

00:29because this disaster conference is just about to end.

00:3339 countries, thousands in attendance, the delegates.

00:37If the Philippines will be graded as a disaster conference host,

00:43they will give an A-plus grade to the regional meet, which is just about to end.

00:49The Philippines will ask a very good question in its hosting of the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.

00:58It is said that the country is a champion in dealing with disasters.

01:02But aside from the hot Pinoy style reception, every discussion is smarter.

01:07Today, 22 breakout sessions were held on the fourth day of APMC-DRR in PACC.

01:15Today is the closing ceremony, but UNDRR is repeatedly saying that the Philippines is doing a great job in the Asia-Pacific region.

01:23The United Nations Office of Disaster Risk Reduction is happy because of the great contribution of the Philippines after the disaster conference.

01:31UNDRR called us as a guiding light in the planning and implementation of the Sendai Framework in the Asia-Pacific region.

01:38Five important directions were included in this four-day disaster conference.

01:43This happened because of the good opening of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on the first day of the conference.

01:50This kind of help is a big thing because the access of the Philippines to disaster response is expanding,

01:56also because of the help of other countries.

01:58Today, the discussions were divided into four topics,

02:01but it was based on the readiness of the community and technology.

02:05Each topic was carefully discussed.

02:08The delegation started at 9 a.m. and finished at 5 p.m.

02:13to give way to the official closing of the four-day convention of 4,000 delegates from different countries and sectors of society.

02:55DNR Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga thanked the 4,000 delegates for their smart discussion about DRR.

03:04She also thanked the international communities for their support for the completion of APMC DRR.

03:11Defense Secretary Gilbert Gibocidorno Jr. said that the four-day conference is meaningful.

03:18All will go home.

03:19Many will be able to face new challenges.

03:23She also thanked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for leading the country to become disaster resilient.

03:31Meanwhile, the UN DRR Head Kamal Kishore thanked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

03:38for his support of the entire government in the completion of 2024 APCM DRR.

03:46Kishore recognized the Filipino hospitality that brings life to the humanity of the region.
