00:00Former One Direction member Liam Payne has reportedly died according to multiple publications
00:04including ABC and CNN.
00:07The British singer was 31.
00:09Payne reportedly died after falling from the third floor of his hotel room in Argentina,
00:13state police told ABC.
00:15Access Hollywood has reached out for comment.
00:18Payne was born in England and rose to fame on the fifth season of X Factor in 2008.
00:23He was eventually placed in the newly formed boy band One Direction with fellow bandmates
00:26Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik.
00:30Although the group didn't win that season of X Factor, they went on to be one of the
00:33best-selling boy bands of all time, known for their songs like What Makes You Beautiful
00:37and Night Changes.
00:39After the group broke up, he embarked on his solo career and debuted his first solo single
00:43Strip That Down in 2016.
00:45Payne is survived by his son Bear Grey Payne who was born in 2017 with his ex-girlfriend
00:50Cheryl Cole.
00:51Back in 2020, Liam opened up with Access Hollywood about how fatherhood was going for him at
00:56the time and shared how he'd talked to his former bandmate Louis Tomlinson about their
01:00parenting experiences.
01:01Me and Louis speak about it quite a lot.
01:04I mean, from our perspective, actually, for me and my ex, when we first had Bear and like
01:10after a few weeks, I don't know what Cheryl did at the time, but she got him in this beautiful
01:13sleeping pattern.
01:14He was sleeping.
01:15And I was like, I don't know what the fuss is all about, like what are you guys talking
01:19about?
01:20And people used to come to our house and they'd be like, how on earth have you done that?
01:23Like how have you made it work?
01:25Because people were like, he's just so, we were very blessed and lucky with having Bear
01:29because he's so calm.
01:30There's no volume involved.
01:32Like he throws his toys out the pram every so often, like a little bit, of course kids
01:35do.
01:36But he's been a blessing so far.
01:37So for me, it was like, it was quite easy at the start in a sense.
01:42Louis just phones me up every so often.
01:44It's comforting hearing from another dad who's obviously outside the situation and has to
01:47visit and go in and out of it.
01:49And hearing the dynamic of the things going on with them and what happens in that way.
01:53His son's a tiny little bit older than mine.
01:55So I kind of get a lot of the different lessons and different things off him in a lot of ways.
01:59Yeah.
02:00But he used to be like my decider of whether the song was going to like sink or swim because
02:03when like Familiar and Different Things came out, he was like doing the full on baby rave
02:06in the house and whatever.
02:07I was like, it's really cute actually.
02:09And he would like, when I went, I went over one time about a couple of months ago now
02:13and he was, I was babysitting because she'd gone out somewhere to somebody's party.
02:19And he was like, let's put music on.
02:21And I was like, okay, we'll put some music on.
02:22So I went over and started turning the music on and I put like a song on and it was one
02:25I thought was one of his favorites.
02:26He was like, oh no, this is not daddy's music.
02:29And I was like, what do you mean?
02:31He was like, it's not daddy's music.
02:32And I was like, he's like, play daddy's music.
02:34And as soon as I started playing Stack It Up, whatever, he's dancing around the house
02:37and I thought, this is just the best thing ever, like, no, it's so good.
