00:00What's up guys, so today I wanted to go over five reasons why you should buy the S22 Ultra
00:07over the 14 Pro here.
00:09So I actually do have my main SIM in the S22 Ultra and I want to go over my reasonings
00:14why.
00:15So before I put my main SIM in here, I was using the iPhone 13 Pro.
00:18I really love that phone.
00:19I actually sold it to get the 14 Pro, but I haven't been in a rush to switch SIMs back
00:26to iPhone here.
00:27And I want to explain what makes the S22 Ultra so great.
00:30Alright, so one of the first things that I really like about the S22 Ultra over the 14
00:35Pro is actually the display.
00:37So Apple did improve the display design this year.
00:40We used to have the notch, as you guys can see right there, the old school notch.
00:45Now it's been replaced with the dynamic island display, which is very cool.
00:50It, you know, changes and animates and stuff.
00:53And the reason why the notch is so big here is because it does house the face ID.
00:58Now with the S22 Ultra, we have a much smaller punch hole, which does allow you to do face
01:04unlock and it actually does the, under the display, fingerprint sensor.
01:09So you actually get two methods, which I always say is something that I really appreciate
01:13with Android devices, having face unlock and having, you know, a very secure fingerprint
01:17scanner as well.
01:19And not only that is if you're really big into content, it's not really the quality
01:24of these two panels because they're both excellent quality panels here.
01:28It really comes down to what you're doing in full screen.
01:31And I know this might sound a little bit petty, but it really does make, you know, you have
01:37to go over this petty stuff when you're paying for phones at like a thousand dollars, right?
01:41So you can see when you're watching content on these two phones here in full screen, you
01:48see a big difference in terms of the viewing experience, right?
01:51You have a much bigger intrusive notch versus Samsung's, you know, very small punch hole.
01:57So it's almost like the, you know, Apple's pill shape is like maybe five, four of those
02:04little Samsung cutouts.
02:05And it does make a difference not only in the viewing experience, but also when you're
02:10playing games as well too.
02:12So whatever you're doing on your phone, you get a more immersive experience with the S22
02:18Ultra.
02:19And I just think it looks better.
02:20Also, I'm a huge fan of curved displays as well.
02:22I think it gives it, I think it gives the phone a more luxury feeling.
02:25Some people hate the curved displays, which I totally get as well.
02:29I don't really get accidental touches.
02:30So it's never been something that bothers me.
02:32But yeah, so that is one of my main things is that the display, I think is just still
02:36better or as far as the display design anyway.
02:39All right guys, number two is actually going to be the S Pen.
02:42So a lot of people who buy these Samsung phones, I noticed, don't really take advantage of
02:48the S Pen.
02:49I actually really like to use it for just very small things.
02:53Like I said, once you get into this thousand dollar price point, it's the small things
02:56that matter that make these phones worth, you know, shelling out so much money.
03:01I like to use this thing just, it's very quickly to just write a grocery list.
03:05So if you're somebody like me that you go to the store, you always forget something,
03:08being able to just jot stuff down real quick and just make a quick list is like super,
03:15super convenient for me.
03:17So I just really love that.
03:18And it just feels like a really elegant, very classy experience when you use the S Pen here.
03:25So that is always really nice.
03:27Also, I do like to just use this to navigate with.
03:31So if you're like in the music and it's connected via Bluetooth, right?
03:37So, you know, if you're like in a song or whatever, even if you're like away from your
03:43phone, you can stop the track, you could skip.
03:48So it's just like a really cool, like I said, it's very small little things here.
03:52And this phone is like really good for digital artwork.
03:55So if you're into drawing on your phone and stuff like that, it'd be a very therapeutic
03:59thing to have a coloring book mode on here as well, too.
04:01So I really do like the S Pen.
04:03Like I said, I don't probably don't use it till it's full advantage.
04:06But I do think it's useful for like making notes and just, you know, sort of like using
04:10your phone and navigate with.
04:12So next is going to be the Samsung desktop support, which is extremely underrated.
04:17Literally Samsung doesn't even really advertise this in their commercials and I'm trying to
04:20figure out why.
04:21So I've made a video about this.
04:23You guys should see a pop up.
04:24But when you go into your advanced settings on the S22, often this has been on a ton of
04:29Samsung phones.
04:30You enable Samsung desktop support and you literally can get a full desktop experience
04:34wirelessly.
04:35So you don't have to be wired or anything like that.
04:37You can literally beam it to your TV or your PC monitor.
04:42You can plug it in if you want to and you literally get this very cool desktop experience
04:46and you can still actually still use the phone, you know, as a regular phone.
04:50It's absolutely nuts.
04:51So it's not just screen mirroring.
04:53I don't want you guys to confuse that with screen mirroring because it's not just your
04:56basic screen mirroring.
04:57It's literally like running like a little OS on your TV and you can do it wirelessly.
05:02It's very convenient if you're like playing a game or, you know, you want the game to
05:06be like blown up or if you're just like you're in the living room, right, you have family
05:10members over, you want to show pictures or videos on your phone, then you don't have
05:13to just pass the phone around.
05:15Everybody can see it.
05:16So that's why I said I'm going to keep saying this for, you know, that thousand dollars
05:20is just extremely convenient, right?
05:22To just have like that little extra stuff, right?
05:26So I really do like Samsung desktop support and it works flawlessly.
05:28It's really, really been refined over the years and I think it's just excellent.
05:34So next is going to be true multitasking on the S22 Ultra, something that the iPhone can't
05:38quite do yet.
05:39And I think that's what a lot of people are excited about, about this dynamic island is
05:43that it sort of like gives you a way to sort of kind of multitask, but it's not actually
05:47like, you know, actual multitasking.
05:51But with Android, it's always had this true, you know, kind of multitasking experience.
05:55So I could be like in YouTube, right, watching a video, and then I could just go ahead and
06:00switch to my calculator.
06:04If I want to go ahead and calculate, you guys can see, I can really have like three things
06:09open at once.
06:10So I can go ahead and like open my calendar and I still have my YouTube video plan, right?
06:16I can go ahead and resize it and it just, it's just a great experience.
06:21Not only that, but Samsung can take it a step further here.
06:25So if I wanted to do like more of a bubble kind of method here, so enable a pop-up view,
06:32you can see right there.
06:34So now I'm in here and then I go ahead and open up my settings and you can see it's now
06:44like a little bubble that pops up.
06:47So just multitasking on Android in general, it's just, it's just way ahead.
06:52iPhone literally does not have anything similar to it.
06:57So that's definitely one thing I like.
06:59And that's more of a power user feature.
07:01A lot of people probably don't switch between, you know, two to three apps, they're probably
07:05just in one application, but if you're a power user, you switch between a lot of applications,
07:09it's very convenient.
07:10So last is going to be the reverse wireless power sharing, which is very convenient feature
07:15that I don't think a lot of people use.
07:17And it's just very nice to sort of like, it's almost like a flex thing because like you
07:21could be at dinner and somebody's phone could be dying and you can be like, yo, let me,
07:25I'll charge your phone with my phone, right?
07:28And you guys can see here, I go ahead and turn it on and you guys can see, you got to
07:37put it on here, right?
07:41You guys can see it's go ahead and charges the iPhone, which is just a cool little flex.
07:47It works for, you know, earphones, basically anything that supports wireless charging.
07:51It's a very cool little thing for sure.
07:54So it'll charge your watch and stuff like that.
07:56So I've always thought that was a little cool thing to have.
08:00It's mostly just like a flex.
08:01I rarely use it unless I really need to charge like, you know, some earphones or something
08:06like that.
08:07But yeah, that's super cool thing to have.
08:10So what do you guys think?
08:11Be sure to let me know and I'll catch you guys in the next one.
