00:00What's up guys, today I wanted to do a wishlist for the S23 Ultra here.
00:07I've been using the S22 Ultra since it came out and I really like the phone, but I was
00:14curious, what do you guys want to see in the S23 Ultra?
00:17I'm one of those people that I keep up with a lot of the leaks and news about this phone,
00:22not this phone, but the S23 Ultra that's coming up, just to see what is Samsung working on
00:28and honestly, what can they improve on to just make me excited about buying an S23 Ultra
00:35here.
00:36I wanted to go over some of the things that I want to see, hopefully, some of these are
00:40probably a stretch, some of these I think could possibly come to the S23 Ultra.
00:46One of the first things I want to see is improved battery life.
00:50This has been a big thing because I've also been using the iPhone 13 Pro, which is extremely
00:55good when it comes to battery life and this is the smaller version, the Pro Max even gets
01:00better battery life.
01:01I'm getting at least 8 hours of screen on time with the 13 Pro.
01:06The Pro Max, people said they're getting 10 hours of screen on time.
01:10With the Galaxy S22 Ultra, I can typically only squeeze around 6 hours of screen on time
01:15out of it, so it is technically a full day, but it's nowhere near as good as what Apple
01:20is offering and that's one thing I noticed and also, if you guys look at my battery drain
01:25test video that I did with this phone, you can see I have the Note 20 Ultra here, the
01:30S21 Ultra, and you can see that they all died around the same mark at around 6 hours, 40
01:38minutes of screen on time, which is definitely pretty good, but there's not really an improvement
01:43here.
01:44And like I said, if you do more harsh stuff on the S22 Ultra, it can drain, like taking
01:51videos and stuff like that, and just doing more demanding stuff like gaming a lot, you
01:56definitely can only squeeze about 6 hours out of this phone, which like I said, is good,
02:01but I definitely want to see an improvement.
02:03How is Samsung going to do this, I have no clue.
02:06Maybe they can do some sort of software optimization, maybe the new chips will help, or maybe they
02:12can make the battery bigger.
02:13This already has a pretty big size battery at 5,000 milliamps, I'm not sure, but maybe
02:20they can make the battery bigger, and maybe that'll give us a little bit extra screen
02:23on time, but I've noticed from my Note 10 Plus to the Note 20 Ultra to this phone, and
02:28the S21 Ultra, they all kind of have similar battery life.
02:32You don't see a significant jump in screen on time, at least for me personally.
02:36Alright, so next would be the speaker quality on the S22 Ultra was actually a pretty big
02:42letdown.
02:43If you guys watch my comparison videos, I put it against the Note 10 Plus and Note 20
02:48Ultra, S21 Ultra.
02:49For whatever reason, this speaker on here is just nowhere near as good as the previous
02:54versions were, and I think Samsung's best speaker is actually the S10 5G, it's extremely
02:59impressive and maybe you guys will be able to hear the difference here, but we are at
03:03max volume.
03:18Like I said, I don't know if you guys can hear that, but the S10 5G kills the S22 Ultra
03:29in speaker quality.
03:30It's not even close.
03:31It's way louder, way more bass, they both have Dolby Atmos on, and it's really this
03:36top speaker is not good.
03:43Now watch this.
03:46A way stronger sound out of this top speaker, way better bass, and this is a complaint that
03:51it's just not me.
03:52I've watched plenty of review videos, everyone says the speaker is good, but it's not as
03:56loud.
03:57It could be definitely louder.
03:58Samsung has made better speakers than this.
04:00You can literally feel the table vibrating on here.
04:06I can barely feel any vibration.
04:10So I am not a fan of the S22 Ultra speaker, it needs to be better.
04:13Hopefully Samsung.
04:14I mean honestly, whatever y'all did with this phone, just put it in here.
04:17Now Samsung has one of the best displays with the S22 Ultra right now in my opinion.
04:24It's extremely bright.
04:25I believe still one of the brightest panels that you can get.
04:28This thing is amazing looking outdoors in direct sunlight.
04:31It is absolutely nuts how bright this screen is.
04:34Now the only improvement I would like to see with the screen is, and this is not really
04:40necessary, but I would love to see 144Hz display on here.
04:44I feel like Samsung is going to play it safe with 120Hz.
04:47I know 144Hz is kind of an overkill, but if you guys have never tried 144Hz, I tried it
04:54with the ROG phone and man, it was just, it feels instant.
04:58But like I said, it's something that you have to try.
05:01Some people say they can't tell the difference, but I can tell like that split difference.
05:06It's just like a split hair second.
05:08It almost feels instant compared to the 120Hz, but like I said, it's very minor, but I can
05:13definitely tell the difference.
05:15But if they would do that, I think that would put the display over the top honestly.
05:19It's still an excellent display.
05:21The size is great.
05:23I love the curves.
05:24A lot of people don't like the curves.
05:27I hope Samsung keeps the curves.
05:28I think it makes the device look really premium to me.
05:31I'm not a fan of flat panels.
05:34Or if they do the flat panels, if they do it like they did the S21 Ultra where it's
05:39slightly curved, I would be okay with that.
05:42But I do like this.
05:43I do like this screen.
05:44But 144Hz would be awesome to have.
05:46Alright, so the next thing I want to see Samsung go back to is the base configuration of 256GB
05:53and 12GB of RAM.
05:55The Note 10 Plus had it, like a base Note 10 Plus was 256GB, 12GB of RAM, and that was
06:02so awesome.
06:03And this phone has SD card support by the way.
06:07If you haven't seen my videos on it, it's a fantastic phone.
06:09I absolutely love it.
06:10Remember, after tax that's like $1283.
06:12So we're talking about $1300 for a phone that is, come on, 128GB and 8GB of RAM for a flagship
06:21phone is absolutely insane.
06:24So I do not like that.
06:25I made it very clear on day one when it came out.
06:28Like I said, a lot of you guys, a lot of people don't care because a lot of people on the
06:32channel, you probably had a phone to trade in and you probably pre-ordered it and stuff
06:36like that.
06:37So you got a deal or whatever.
06:39But for those who weren't able to pre-order, those who don't have Galaxy phones to trade
06:42in, I don't like that Samsung did that.
06:46I just don't like it.
06:48It doesn't hold applications as well as a phone with 12GB of RAM.
06:53I wouldn't have tested it.
06:54So this phone, my Note 10 Plus will hold way more applications than the S22 Ultra.
07:01So it's just something I don't like because this is a power user phone.
07:04So it needs to be able to really do what power users want it to do and that is be able to
07:10open a lot of applications.
07:11Now Samsung gave a lame excuse that you have the virtual memory thing on here.
07:18In my opinion, the virtual memory doesn't really do anything.
07:21It still closes applications, honestly, compared to the Note 10 Plus.
07:27So like I said, I don't like the 128GB, 8GB of RAM.
07:32Now here's also something that's going on in the news which I thought was really awesome
07:37guys.
07:38Samsung is supposed to be adding this 200 megapixel sensor.
07:41I hope this makes its way to the S23 Ultra.
07:45This has been in the news for a while.
07:47If you guys watch my videos, you guys know I think this is personally one of the best
07:52cameras that you can get on the market as far as versatility.
07:56It just has crazy, crazy zoom capabilities on here and it's not just zooming and taking
08:02crappy shots.
08:03We're talking about 30x zoom and it's taking excellent shots.
08:07It has all the way up to 100x zoom as well too.
08:09We're talking 10x zoom and it's taking excellent shots.
08:13It takes beautiful zoom photography on here.
08:15Great macro on here.
08:17Great video.
08:19Great image processing.
08:20I personally prefer the Galaxy Notes.
08:23I filmed that TikTok, I mean not TikTok, the YouTube Shorts video for the Note 10+.
08:30I filmed it with this phone.
08:31It came out really crisp and clear and I was filming it with the iPhone but I just didn't
08:35like the way the iPhone was looking.
08:38This takes phenomenal photos guys.
08:40This is really awesome.
08:41If Samsung goes ahead and improves on this camera, they're going to introduce a new sensor
08:46here so we could possibly just see even just a better camera and higher megapixels.
08:52This is going to be the first 200 megapixel sensor as well and yeah, it's just going to
08:57be awesome.
08:58It's going to have quicker auto-focusing on here as well too.
09:01It's going to have apparently new AF capabilities on here.
09:07It's just going to be a much beefed up camera that we're seeing now and this is already
09:11a crazy beefed up camera.
09:14I'm pretty excited for that if that actually does make its way.
09:18What do you guys want to see in the S23 Ultra?
09:20What are some of the things that you think Samsung needs to improve on or do you guys
09:24think that it's fine?
09:25It has no flaws.
09:26It's a fairly perfect phone.
