00:00What's up guys today, I wanted to answer a question, and I thought this would be a pretty pretty good comparison
00:07What phone would I buy if I had to buy an older flagship and I said this a lot on my channel
00:13It would be the galaxy s21 ultra so I'm going to compare it to the latest and greatest
00:1815 pro max so you guys can see why I really really like this phone all right
00:24So let's go ahead and jump in now the iPhone has a 6.7 inch display. It's LTPO
00:30XDR OLED 120 Hertz HDR 10
00:332000 nits peak brightness, and it's 1290 by 2796 for 60 for the PPI and like I said
00:41It's 6.7 inches and you can see
00:43You know it's much much bigger, but um it's completely flat panel as well to which a lot of people prefer
00:51But yeah, I just really love how vibrant the s21 ultra display is and like I said just really easy to hold
00:58I think it's even easier to hold than the iPhone
01:01It's just more comfortable especially being a bigger phone, and then it just has a smaller punch hole
01:07We know Apple has the dynamic island
01:10That you can sort of interact with but you guys pretty much know my opinions on that
01:15Not super super useful not a lot of applications take advantage of it alright
01:19So let's talk about these specs a little bit more here
01:21So the s21 has the snapdragon triple-a processor
01:25It does have the 128 gigs of internal storage and 12 gigs of RAM the iPhone has the Apple a 17 chip
01:32And then it also has 256 gigs of internal storage and 8 gigs of RAM here
01:38So you can see big difference in these single and multi-core scores
01:41You can see the iPhone is just a much faster phone when it comes to benchmarks
01:45But this is what I've been really trying to you know stress to people just because a phone is new doesn't mean that it's going
01:51To be dramatically faster, so if we do launch some applications here
01:55You can see that the s21 is not going to be too far behind
01:58The iPhone when it comes to the overall speed here like when it comes to scrolling and animations and stuff like that
02:06It's pretty much on par with the iPhone for sure
02:11So I think that's one thing that people they think they're getting a much faster phone when in reality
02:17You know a phone that's a few years older is still going to be just as fast and those benchmarks
02:23You know they kind of confuse
02:24They kind of can make it seem like it's like dramatically faster
02:28And yeah when you get some more intensive stuff like if you're doing something really intense on your phone of course the the iPhone is
02:35Definitely going to do a really good job
02:38But for the average person you're not going to notice any type of a speed improvement honestly really game
02:44Improvement as well to if we get into pub G here this will actually surprise most people, but the s21 ultra is a
02:52Fantastic phone when it comes to gaming and you can actually play pub G at 90 frames now. It's actually been updated
02:59And it just does a fantastic job even at HDR extreme
03:04It's just a really really great phone for gaming now this phone can get a little bit warm
03:10That's my only thing with it, but I've never had this one actually freeze up and crash or have any serious frame drops
03:16I just noticed that
03:17It does get a little bit warmer than let's say something like a snapdragon 865 or something like that
03:24That's my only issue with the triple-a processors, and that it's not just this phone
03:28It's a lot of the triple-a phones and same thing for the iPhone. It's not quite. Oh it has 90 frames now

03:35So it pretty much feels the same like the same experience and the iPhone itself as actually having some
03:41overheating problems from what we're seeing on social media and
03:45Yeah, so I've never had this phone either of these phones have any serious heating problems
03:50I'm not like a crazy. You know gamers stuff like that, but
03:55Definitely when it comes to gaming performance you really won't see too much of a difference on these phones
04:01You can still play games at really high settings, and you're not gonna really notice a difference really
04:06So I do want to talk about the cameras because I think this is pretty important here the s21 ultra still has in my opinion

04:18It does have a hundred and eight megapixel standard lens at 10 megapixel periscope telephoto
04:24That's 10 times optical zoom and then a 10 megapixel
04:27Telephoto that does three times optical zoom with a 12 megapixel ultra-wide it can shoot an 8k 24
04:33And then you also have a 40 megapixel selfie that shoots in
04:374k 60 the iPhone has a very good camera system as you would expect
04:4248 megapixel standard a 12 megapixel periscope telephoto with 5 times optical zoom and then a 12 megapixel
04:49Ultra-wide you can shoot in 4k 60 only front and back and has a 12 megapixel

06:47The cool thing I want to highlight about the s21 is that it actually does have pin support
06:52so you can actually use the
06:53Stylus and you can pretty much use the same stylus software that you would have one
06:58Let's say like a s23 ultra which is pretty cool, and this one will actually get software updates as well, too
07:05Which is really nice as well, it'll get Android 14
07:09Also, another thing that's really cool
07:11Is that and this is just for Android in general you have two ways of getting into the phone you can use the under the?
07:17display fingerprint sensor or the you know
07:21face ID
07:23And then you also have on iPhone just the face ID
07:28Which is very secure so not taking anything away from Apple very secure works really well
07:33Both of these phones have stereo speakers, so let's go ahead and max them out
08:03They both have pretty loud speakers
08:05But the iPhone definitely a little bit louder with a little bit of a fuller sound for sure talk about the design
08:12So both of these phones are ip68 dust and water resistant, and I think this is Samsung's one of their best designs
08:19It has this really cool. Look to it. I've always been a big fan the camera cut out and how the cameras look
08:24It just has this really cool sci-fi look to it, and it's something that I've always wanted to have
08:30Look to it, and it's something that I've always appreciated like I said, it's not as
08:35boxy and
08:37Yeah, it's just a really comfortable phone really cool looking matte finish on here
08:41And I do really like the design on here in the iPhone even though
08:47You know a lot of people are you know they're not really a huge fan of this titanium design. We're seeing that it's
08:55Breaking and easier than the 14 pro max
08:58It's still like impressively lightweight for its size. I think that's just really really impressive
09:05But yeah, it's design wise. It's still a very nice phone matte finish on here really nice design on here
09:12You have your action button now. It's got USB type-c as well, too
09:16Which is a nice addition, but you know design is subjective
09:19So I think they both still look really good, and this still looks like a very modern phone
09:25Which is really nice now when it comes to battery life the iPhone pretty much will win here
09:31And it's really like these newer phones in general like the s23 this suits is in phone 10 and 9
09:37The newer phones are doing a really good job with battery life, so that's something that I really like
09:41It's not that the s21 battery life is bad. It's just pretty average
09:45But yeah, so the s21 the thing that it does have over the iPhone is that you do have the reverse wireless charging on here
09:53Which is pretty cool, but other than that's 5,000 milliamp 25 watt charging on here wireless charging and
10:00The iPhone as well. It's pretty much the same setup

10:14But that's pretty much it so
10:16Hopefully you guys have saw that the s21 ultra and pretty much old flagships in general still really stand up
10:25To the latest and greatest like the 15 pro max. I think it did a really good job in terms of photos speed
