00:00What's up guys, so I kept getting this request to do an updated gaming test for the S10+.
00:04I think I did one last year.
00:07This phone last year did a really good job, so we'll kick it off with Fortnite.
00:10We're on the Snapdragon 855 version here.
00:13This can do 60 frames, let's see, yeah 60 frames on high.
00:20So that's nice.
00:22And we'll turn on FPS, alright we're all good to go.
00:26So like I said, Snapdragon 855, this one has 8 gigs of RAM on it.
00:32Check out my S10+, I made an argument that this is probably one of Samsung's best phones
00:39ever released.
00:40You know, a lot of people were debating with me about that, but I really like the S10+,
00:46it's a really awesome phone spec wise, and also has a headphone jack, has the SD card
00:52support.
00:53Has a lot of the top notch features that you would find in today's smartphones.
01:00So I absolutely love it.
01:02This year it got it's last major OS update, Android 12, and then it's currently going
01:08to get security patches.
01:11So Fortnite is running really smooth on this phone, that's the one thing I remember.
01:16So this is buttery smooth on here, I remember that from the last gaming test.
01:22This phone doesn't heat up too much during long periods of gaming, and I don't get a
01:27ton of lag with this phone when gaming.
01:31Really not any.
01:32Again, I'm not a big gamer like that, so maybe an hour of gaming, this phone was fine.
01:38If you're playing games for multiple hours, maybe it'll start to heat up a little bit.
01:42But typically these Snapdragon 855 phones are fairly efficient when it comes to heat
01:48and power and stuff like that.
01:52So as you guys can see, really smooth frame rates here.
01:56It looks like we are consistently keeping some smooth frame rates.
02:04Again, I'm not the best at this game, but just to show you guys.

02:13The screen on here is really nice too.
02:14Make sure everything is bright, yeah I got the brightness turned up.
02:18The screen on here is great, 1440p, super sharp, really really nice display on here.
02:28Yeah this is playing Fortnite better than some newer phones I have.
02:38They're just very consistent frame rates here.
02:44I never played this game at night time, it's so much different looking.
02:57Maybe one day I'll actually take the time to learn how to play this game.

04:24Alright next we got Call of Duty Mobile here.
04:28This is a pretty easy game to run, we're able to play at high graphics with high frame
04:32rates on here as well.
04:37Fortnite is the only game that heats this phone up, so the game did get kind of warm
04:41when playing Fortnite, but typically with Call of Duty, PUBG, and pretty much anything
04:48else I play I really don't, this phone really doesn't heat up, but for some reason Fortnite
04:52really pushes this phone, especially at the 60 frames.
05:00Yeah guys this is just awesome, and this is what I tell people all the time, I highly
05:03recommend these older flagships, but anybody on a budget, so a lot of people get confused
05:08by that, if you're not really into phones and stuff like that, you'll get confused thinking
05:12that you can get a Galaxy A53 and you're going to play at pretty good settings when it comes
05:18to gaming.
05:19That's not the case.
05:20The S10 Plus will play better than the Galaxy A53 by a mile, it's just the A55 chip is just
05:26way better, and a normal person or a non-tech person would assume, well the newer phone
05:35has to perform better than the mid-range phone because it's newer, has to perform better
05:40than an older flagship.
05:41No, no, no guys.
05:42You guys remember, these older flagships are meant to last a very long time.
05:48These are not really, when you pay the premium price for these phones, they're really meant
05:53to last for years and years.
05:59Yeah this is just buttery smooth guys.
06:04Super fast.
06:18You also get some pretty good speakers on here as well.
06:38Yeah guys, Call of Duty is like a breeze for this, it's easy.
06:41Next we got Fortnite here, I mean, next we got PUBG, oh snap I'm going to shout out already.
06:50HDR Extreme, we can go up to Ultra HD if we want.
06:55This doesn't heat up on PUBG at all.
06:57It's really only Fortnite where this thing starts to go crazy with the heating up and
07:05stuff like that.
07:12But it's very consistent with this game.
07:28So I'm so bad at these touch screen games, so difficult.
07:40Yeah but this is pretty smooth guys.
