00:58All right guys, so I got it set up a little bit and let's talk about the hardware really nice-looking phone in person
01:04I think it looks even better in person and obviously this is for people who really want a sort of compact phone that you can
01:11interact with

01:14Samsung has the home screen on here set up to where you could you know hop into widgets and stuff like that and even you
01:21Can access notifications and stuff and sort of interact with them here as well, too
01:25Which is really useful, but the screen is overall so really you know kind of a big display here for a cover screen
01:31It's a 3.5 inch display, and then it's also Super AMOLED or 3.4 inch
01:37Sorry, and then it's 720 by 748 a display 306 for the PPI, so it does look sharp
01:43It looks really nice, and then you also have these widgets here
01:47You can do that, and then if I hold it you can add more widgets on your home screen
01:54As you can see a timer stocks all that good stuff
01:57So it's you know basically what a folding phone should do be able to easily access
02:03You know interacting widgets and stuff like that. Let's get into information quicker
02:08That's the whole sort of concept with these folding phones now when you open the phone
02:12It's a pretty massive display is a 6.7 inch display, and it's a very tall display
02:18so it's
02:19Dynamic AMOLED it's 120 Hertz HDR 10 plus very bright at
02:241750 nits full 1080p 425 for the PPI of course we have our punch hole
02:29Respectable bezels on here and overall it's a very you know nice-looking panel Samsung makes you know arguably

02:40The one of the questions that I get is can you feel the crease and are you gonna be running your fingers across the crease?
02:46Well since the phone is so you know like tall
02:50Basically you won't really feel the crease and I honestly can't even some really see it
02:54Depends on what kind of wallpaper you have like, but I honestly even on a white background. I couldn't really see it
03:00So you can't really see the crease that much your fingers are not gonna be interacting with it
03:05Honestly at least for me because I have smaller hands, but you're gonna be swiping like this anyway
03:10So you're gonna be swiping like that so you can't really feel it
03:12So and then if you do just train your hands to swipe up here like where the crease is not
03:18And you won't have to feel that little you know that little bump right, but overall. I'm really impressed

03:31Yeah, so the display is just absolutely it's a beautiful display the only weird thing with the display is that?

03:41So if you're watching content, you will see like these these pretty big

03:48like bars on here as you guys can see so
03:52You know what the phone even if you crop in you kind of cut off too much of the video
03:57So you kind of have to deal with these kind of you know bars unless you're watching a video with this type of like longer

04:05Then yeah, but I think display is overall fine. It's really really nice
04:10You have to set the phone up with a physical display
04:13Set the phone up with a physical fingerprint scanner up here
04:17And I'm glad that it's in a spot even where I can reach it
04:21So it's not and I really love the physical fingerprint scanner. I think it's better than the
04:26In-display fingerprint sensors in my opinion just feels more natural
04:29But I like that they went with that instead of an in-display one because that would have been kind of a pain
04:34With just how long this phone is
04:37But yeah, so hardware wise it's ipx8 dust and water resistant, so
04:43It's not a dust resistant. It's just water resistant, so you it's not ip68, so I wouldn't get this phone wet
04:50It could probably handle selects a spill right or like if you're on the rain light rain
04:55But I 100% when I get this phone wet
04:57This is a phone even though because it's so expensive a thousand bucks. You really need to just throw this in a case

05:07We have stereo speakers on here. Let's go ahead and check those out

05:31Pretty good sound these stereo speakers on here you get a really good amount of volume at the top speaker as well
05:37So that's really nice so no issues with that and also the phone does lay
05:41Completely flat it's just like I wouldn't want to lay this phone flat because again you got the cameras that kind of
05:49Will get scratched up so like I said this is a phone
05:51I got would immediately throw in a case, but um yeah, and also interacting with the screen on here
05:56I thought from looking at the pictures you would be rubbing your thumb across the camera lens a lot, but that's not the case
06:02It's it's I don't I'm not having that issue at all so that's really nice
06:06So let's talk about these specs a little bit more here
06:08So the flip 5 is running the snapdragon 8 gen 2 it also has
06:14256 gigs of internal storage and 8 gigs of RAM on the base model here
06:18And of course it's a flagship phone so you can expect to you know be able to play pub G
06:25You know HDR extremes looks like the best settings that we can get here
06:29and of course it's gonna be super smooth and fast for gaming and
06:33I think the cool thing about this phone and
06:37Also, the s23 ultra is that these phones do really well with gaming and also for like longer periods of time without getting too hot
06:44Like let's say for instance the s21 ultra with these really any snapdragon triple-a phone
06:50You would notice those phones get a kind of warm when you're gaming for a long period of time
06:55But but this phone in the s23
06:58Line up, you know, they are really efficient the chip this year, and I'm not sure if this one is
07:04overclocked
07:06You know like the s23. We know that that chip is you know for galaxy overclocked basically
07:12the geekbench scores are
07:15here and
07:18Show you guys so here are the geekbench scores here
07:21So really nice scores
07:22The phone is blazing blazing fast and you can see the difference between like the older phones the s21 note stuff like that
07:29Alright, so let's talk about the cameras on here
07:31So you can access the cameras through here as well, too
07:34And you can see it can go from photo to video and all that good stuff and also a portrait mode
07:41So you can get to the cameras and use this to take selfies would just know it'll be in a different aspect ratio
07:47But let's talk about the image quality. It's pretty much what you would expect
07:51You know from a Samsung flagship phone great photos on here at 12 megapixel standard and a 12 megapixel ultra-wide
07:58Since this is a folding phone. There is gonna be you know, no telephoto lens. So no
08:03You know real zoom on here's just digital zoom and it shoots in 4k 60 and then you have a 10 megapixel
08:09Camera when you flip it open and then that's 4k 30 and the images themselves are pretty good
08:16Um, like I said, you can get sort of a better selfie if you use the front cam
08:22Also, which I thought was nice, but the image quality, you know
08:25It's not gonna be like the s20 the ultra where you have crazy zoom and 108 megapixel 200 megapixel
08:31But it is gonna give you a good, you know photos
08:34It's a great point-and-click camera whether you're in low light or good light. It's gonna give you you know, fantastic photos
08:40So had no issues with the image quality and it's pretty much the same for video as well, too
08:45I'll do a comparison with the s23 to see if you can spot any, you know major differences
08:50But it pretty much looks on par with you know, the s23 ultra
08:54Pretty much. So overall I had no issues with the video quality in the stills on here
08:59You're gonna get flagship quality, you know shots here. Alright, so lastly I want to talk about battery life
09:06So this is something I have to spend a little bit more time with but just using the phone
09:10You know, it feels like this could definitely be six hours of screen on time for sure
09:16Like I said, I have to use it a little bit longer
09:18But I don't think battery life is gonna be terrible on here
09:21Just looking at the way that it's been draining since I've been using it
09:24Um, so it has a 3700 milliamp hour battery 25 watt fast charging, which I wish it was, you know, 45 watts
09:32At least it also has the wireless and the reverse wireless charging as well, too
09:37So, yeah, so overall my first impressions I really like it the phone
09:41Like I said, you really have to be one of those people who you know
09:45Want something that's more compact and then something you could just take out your phone
09:49You know take out your phone and you sort of get access to these widgets without having to open it
09:54you know all the way up and yeah, so
