00:00Yo, what's up guys? It's been about five months since we've had the s23 ultra and honestly this phone has been just a beautiful

00:15It's a very impressive phone
00:17I want to talk about all of the
00:19Pros that I really like about this phone, and I think there's a few cons not much actually
00:24They fixed a lot of the cons with this phone from the s22
00:28All right, so let's go ahead and jump into it. Also. I did not get the s23 plus yet
00:32I did get the standard s23 if you guys still want me to pick that up be sure to let me know
00:37I know some of you guys were getting a little birthed out with the
00:40Galaxy videos so let me know we can still get that plus because I feel you guys were interested now the screen on the s23
00:47Ultra is pretty impressive. It's a full 1440p
00:51Display, and it's got these really slim bezels on it
00:54It's very boxy, and it looks pretty much like a small little TV. It gives you just a really beautiful experience and also
01:02This does have a curve to it, but Samsung really did a good job at not making the curve
01:08You know super dramatic this year it only curves just slightly
01:12Which I think is a really good idea because it's easier to put a screen protector on this phone now
01:17And you have your punch hole in the middle is super bright at
01:201750 nits and it's just one of the best display experience that you can ask for it really feels like you're watching like a little mini TV
01:27The display is also 120 Hertz and of course it's Samsung's dynamic AMOLED display
01:35So you know colors are gonna be very vibrant and then the blacks are very deep
01:39It's just one of the best displays that you can get right now on the market
01:44Now if I was to have any sort of complaint with the screen
01:49It wouldn't be so much the screen quality as it is how boxy the phone is
01:54It's not the most comfortable phone to hold and again
01:57Samsung's I think the most comfortable phone
02:01Recently from Samsung was the s21 ultra because it didn't have like this boxy shape to it where it kind of cuts into the hand
02:09Um basically I this is a phone that I do put a case on it. I just took it off because of this video
02:15But that does sort of help like the sharp edges, so it's not really a big deal but
02:21Samsung did do something pretty cool this year instead of it being a more kind of a curvier design as well, too
02:28It's sort of more boxy on the sides as well, too
02:31So it's it's really hard to drop this phone like the s22 ultra was slip and slide a lot out of my hand this phone
02:38You can sort of hold it very firm, and you know you're just not gonna drop it
02:42So that's one thing that I really like about this phone now speaking of design
02:46It's pretty much the same design that we saw with the s22 ultra here
02:51You got these really big cameras and honestly it looks like LG velvet you guys if you guys remember that phone
02:57Kind of looks like a LG velvet matte finish on here of course glass and metal design
03:01It's a very pretty phone and of course you have your built-in stylus with the s20
03:073 ultra it's extremely accurate and
03:11If you're trying to get into digital artwork, it's so accurate that I've seen people on YouTube
03:16they've you know done digital artwork with this thing and
03:20It's just really really impressive and not only that but the S Pen has so much
03:25Software features that it offers as well too as far as when you are is concerned
03:31You just have a ton of stuff. I really like using a color coloring book if I'm on like a flight or something
03:37Just jotting down notes like a little grocery list
03:40Live messages is pretty cool smart select where you can just basically select something make a gif out of it as well, too
03:47All this is built into the S Pen
03:49also
03:50If you're like a content creator you can just hit the button and take a picture or with video from a distance since it is
03:56Bluetooth there's a lot that you can you know use to take advantage of the S Pen for sure so
04:02Like if you're at a distance
04:04Put it on a tripod and you can film your own videos stop pause and all that good stuff
04:08So it's a very very useful pen
04:10I think for digital content creation if you're gonna
04:12You know start filming videos and stuff like that now the gaming experience has been very good on the s23 ultra
04:19This phone does not heat up
04:22Yeah, I could get a little bit a little bit warm
04:25But this phone stays relatively cool and it's just been a really awesome experience for gaming
04:30Not only that but pub G got the optimization for 90 frames as well, too
04:36Which it should have got it for the s22 ultra, but you know we got it now
04:41But yeah, so gaming performance on here is now really really good
04:45Especially since that you know the cooling on here is so good
04:49It's got the snapdragon 8gen 2 processor and it's made for galaxy
04:53So it's slightly overclocked and then you also have and this is my one issue with this phone
04:58It's 256 gigs of internal storage and 8 gigs of RAM on the base model now
05:04I got the you know the 12 gig around version because I pre-ordered, but if you didn't pre-order
05:10You know I just think if you're paying $1,200 for a phone, right?
05:14Then you definitely should get 12 gigs of RAM on the base model for sure that's my only thing
05:20But this phone is you should you shouldn't be getting 8 gigs of RAM on a phone that cost this much honestly
05:27But besides that
05:29It runs like a beast guys gaming performance is top-notch and like I said it does not heat up
05:35Anywhere near as bad as the s21 ultra in the s22 ultra and again
05:40I've never had those phones actually you know crash with gaming
05:44I would just like if you're using the phone without a case you definitely will feel the phone

05:50Yeah, but the performance on here is just really nice bouncing in and out of applications when you are
05:575.1 runs like a breeze on this phone. It is a really smooth and fast gaming experience now
06:02This is something that I'm starting to realize and I want to touch on one UI and how it's slowly
06:08Starting to become one of my favorite skins for Android
06:11I would say it's between one UI and the pixel 7 Pro the stock Android
06:17I still think that's smoother than when you I for sure at least on the home screen
06:22But one UI is pretty interesting because Samsung throws in a lot of
06:27Customization a lot of options, and it becomes a very powerful device with this built-in software here
06:33So one of the things that I'm talking about is Samsung desktop support being able to turn your phone into
06:40You know basically like a little desktop, or if you want to get like a portable screen
06:46It just turns your phone into just a completely different experience, and it's something that I really like it's built into the phone and
06:54Yeah, it's just a sweet thing that I think
06:57Samsung doesn't do they don't do that good of a job of advertising. I think there's a really slept on feature
07:02Also in one UI. This is something that I think makes
07:07When you I stand out is the good luck application being able to have these very powerful
07:13Customized customizations with your phone here
07:16They just have so much stuff, and I went over a couple a couple things, but so much stuff in
07:23Good luck guys that you can go ahead and customize, so it just turns your phone into a highly customizable device
07:29And this is the application by Samsung so everything runs fluid and smooth you don't have to download
07:35You know a hundred thousand applications from the Play Store to be able to customize your phone
07:40It is really really impressive guys, so that's one thing that I really like about when you I and then also here
07:48You have Samsung applications now. I know some people they consider it likes bloatware
07:54But it's really not in a way like I'll give you an example Samsung notes is extremely
08:00useful for sure here just a lot of powerful features in the Samsung notes application that you can take advantage of and
08:08Like I said the Samsung diagnostics or the Samsung's memory applications is pretty cool
08:13Samsung's gallery application is pretty cool being able to do the object eraser
08:19Essentially, so there's a lot of cool stuff with when you are here so for example. Here's the object eraser
08:25And here's where the s-pen comes
08:27Into handy here
08:29So you guys can see I'm gonna try to get rid of this ball
08:34And erase it boom
08:37Look at that look how cool that is
08:41Absolutely awesome
08:44Now here's another area that Samsung made a big improvement in and it's with the camera
08:50So you have a 200 megapixel camera now so when you crop into photos you get a ton of detail still
08:56You also have a 10 megapixel periscope telephoto. It does 10x optical zoom 10 megapixel telephoto
09:023x optical zoom and a 12 megapixel ultra wide and then you also shoot an 8k 30 12 megapixel selfie that shoots in
09:104k60
09:11Basically the zoom shots
09:13Samsung has been steadily improving the zoom quality on these phones
09:17So that is really awesome if you look at the s20 ultra versus the s23 ultra you would notice a big difference in terms
09:24Of the 10 times 30 times and even a hundred times zoom
09:28Shots so Samsung has been steadily improving and it looks really really good
09:34Also, also they actually fixed the super steady if you guys saw my shorts that I did
09:40The super steady quality is really good. So if you're taking a video and you know, you're gonna be like
09:47Moving around a lot or you got a sporting event or something like that
09:51This phone does an excellent job with the super steady
09:54So it's I think it's better than the iPhone's action mode
09:58So yeah, I think they did a really good improvement there, but Samsung, you know photo quality has always been really good
10:05It does a really good job. Can you bright vibrant photos very detailed good high dynamic range the portrait mode on the s23
10:13Ultra is pretty good as well, too
10:15And overall it's just an impressive camera night shots are very good on here as well
10:20And you can get the really cool 100 times zoom
10:22Like I said really excellent video as well to one here
10:25You can honestly use this to start like a YouTube channel or a tick tock or something like that
10:29And it will definitely look good
10:32So I think the cameras on here are definitely top-notch
10:35One of the biggest improvements that Samsung made was actually to the speaker quality. So the s22 ultra
10:42Honestly, that was my biggest complaint with the speaker quality was actually I thought it was pretty bad actually compared to other phones
10:49On the market, but they really improved it here
10:52So even if you cover up the bottom speaker you guys can hear the top speaker is still very loud

11:21And it's giving out a ton of bass and very impressive
11:24So when you put one of the best screens in a smartphone with really good speakers, then
11:29you get a really awesome experience if you're watching Netflix or whatever on your phone.
11:34You're going to get, like I said, like a movie, TV-like experience on here pretty much.
11:39Also for additional features, you do have IP68 dust and water resistant.
11:43We also have reverse wireless charging on here.
11:46So we have all the little bells and whistles, and the fingerprint scanner is very fast as
11:50usual.
11:51You can take advantage of face unlock as well too.
11:53Alright, so let's talk about the real star of the show, the battery life.
11:57The S23 Ultra has one of the best batteries in a smartphone, especially with this set
12:05of features.
12:065,000 milliamp battery on here, 45 watt charging on here.
12:10And also my only complaint, I guess it's like my second complaint, you don't get the charger
12:14in the box, which I think, you know, I just, I would really prefer to have the charger
12:19in the box.
12:20A lot of people forget about that, but I'm not going to forget about it because Xiaomi
12:23actually still puts chargers in the box.
12:25But the big three, I call them, they don't, Samsung, Google, and Apple, they do not put
12:30chargers in the box.
12:32So you're going to have to buy that separately and, you know, if you pre-order, you can take
12:37advantage of the gifts and stuff, but if you don't, then you still have to buy one, right?
12:41Alright, so battery life is phenomenal on this device.
12:45It's really, really good, guys.
12:47This phone, I can never kill it in a day.
12:50It's like a day and a half for a phone.
12:53Typically at the end of the days, I'm sitting somewhere around like 30% and it doesn't matter
12:58really what I'm doing on this phone.
13:00If I'm gaming a little bit or I'm doing something a little bit more intensive, GPS, whatever,
13:06this phone will last all day and you always have, you know, good battery life or you always
13:12have a little bit of battery life at the end of the day.
13:14Like I said, typically around 30 to 25%.
13:17Very, very impressive battery life.
13:20It's actually a dramatic upgrade from the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which was roughly getting
13:25me around six hours of screen on time.
13:29But the S23 Ultra has been very, very impressive, so I'm pretty excited to see what they're
13:33going to do with the S24 Ultra because this was a mass, you know, just refining of the
13:39S22 Ultra.
