00:00Good afternoon. Let's update on the weather this Sunday, the 20th of October, 2024.
00:09We can see on our latest satellite image that we have a low-pressure area
00:14being monitored outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:18Earlier this afternoon, it was at a distance of 1,450 kilometers east of Southern Luzon.
00:25This low-pressure area has a high chance of having a typhoon within this day.
00:31We also expect that this Philippine Area of Responsibility may enter if not today, but tomorrow.
00:39We can also notice on our satellite animation that there is an expansion.
00:43The circulation of the LPA that we are monitoring and its trough or extension are affecting our country.
00:51This trough brings heavy rainfall and heavy rains,
00:56landslides and landslides in Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, Northern Samar,
01:02in Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, in Barm and Soxargen.
01:07So be careful, especially our countrymen who have been flooded in the past few days,
01:11as well as those who live in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas,
01:15in the risk of flooding or landslides.
01:20For Metro Manila and other parts of the country,
01:23there are party cloudy to cloudy skies and chances of localized thunderstorms.
01:27Our colleagues in the Regional Services Division will continue to issue thunderstorm advisory,
01:33rainfall advisory or heavy rainfall warning if necessary.
01:39For the time of tomorrow, let's start with the Luzon Area.
01:43Let's hope that it will be rainy in Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, and also in Palawan.
01:50Let's continue with the party cloudy to cloudy skies conditions in Metro Manila and other parts of the Luzon Area.

03:21For the three-day weather outlook of our major cities, let's start with the Luzon area.
03:28In Metro Manila and Baguio, Tuesday, it is still possible that partly cloudy to cloudy skies and chances of localized thunderstorms will continue.
03:37But when Wednesday and Thursday come, it is possible that the low-pressure area with a very high chance of thunderstorms will rain Wednesday and Thursday in Metro Manila and Baguio.
03:50In Legazpi City, it is still possible that it will rain Tuesday to Thursday.
03:56But this day of Tuesday is critical because this could be the start of heavy to intense rains.
04:02So, double caution to our fellow citizens, especially those who live in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
04:08We will continue to keep you updated.
04:12So, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, it will continue to rain in this area, in Legazpi,

04:47So, we can see that even here in the Visayas area,
04:52Tuesday is also the start of heavy to intense rains.
04:56So, be careful and always keep an eye on the upcoming update of Visayas PRSD.
