00:00Well, this week the Prime Minister and I are launching the biggest consultation in the
00:05history of the NHS to help us finalise our 10-year plan that will make the NHS not just
00:11back on its feet, but fit for the future and the 21st century.
00:16But we've already hit the ground running.
00:18We've solved the junior doctor strike, that means no strikes going into this winter.
00:22We've put in place the funding to employ 1,000 more GPs onto the front line in the coming
00:27months.
00:28We've introduced a ban on advertising of junk food targeted at kids.
00:32We'll shortly be introducing the smoking bill to Parliament.
00:35We've got the mental health bill ready to go.
00:37And we'll be sending, in a matter of days, crack teams of top clinicians into hospitals
00:42with high waiting lists and high levels of people off work, off sick, so that we can
00:47get people back to health and back to work faster.
00:51So we're hitting the ground running.
00:53We're not going to pretend there's still loads more to do, but in just a short space
00:59of time we've shown that this Labour government is already making a difference.
