L’evento organizzato dalla SIS - Società Italiana di Statistica, dall’ISTAT e dalla Società Statistica Corrado Gini, con il patrocinio della Commissione Europea, della Regione del Veneto, del Comune di Treviso e in collaborazione con il Parlamento Europeo, offre un programma fitto di appuntamenti sul tema “Statistiche senza frontiere. Fiducia, etica, sistema: il futuro dei dati in Europa”.

01:02This is a fundamental theme. If we want to make the point of the situation, statistics must not have borders, nor in Europe, where, as everyone knows, there is a European statistical system to which the coordination is entrusted to an institute called Eurostat, which coordinates all the national statistical systems of the EU countries.
01:28And this allows us to have comparable statistics.
01:33Also this year the number of participants was high and the interest around the festival grew.
01:38I would say that every year there are more and more people who come, there is a greater interest. Now the press has given us space. The thing that made me notice this morning, which is beautiful, is that they are starting to call it Statistical, no longer Festival of Statistics, they have finally found the acronym to define it.
01:53So finding titles in which we speak Statistical means that people know, that they know how to recognize us, so I think it is a good future for the next editions.
02:02Ten years of a festival that is in the squares, that tries to meet people, are a great result. A result of presence, of help and rapprochement to statistical knowledge, for the commitment and thanks to the commitment of the National Institute of Statistics and the scientific societies that organize this event with us.
02:26To reach the tenth year means to have involved institutions, to have involved the Academy, to have involved schools and a goal of growth, of training, of knowledge, which today also becomes a national event.
