00:04at St. Joseph's, so, let's begin.

00:07The film follows Lily, a Muslim woman who is recently engaged to her fiancé on a friend's

00:11trip to St. Joseph's guesthouse, unaware that it was the site of a sacrifice of an innocent

00:15girl centuries before.

00:17They come to believe that it's haunted as their emotions and desires spiral out of control.

00:27Centuries ago, at St. Joseph's guesthouse, which used to be a church, two nuns hanged

00:31a young girl, accusing her of witchcraft.

00:34Ever since this horrifying event took place, the guesthouse has been rumored to be haunted.

00:39Back in the present, we saw a Muslim doctor, Lily, who was unable to concentrate on her

00:43work.

00:44She failed to provide emergency treatment to a patient in need, which prompted her to

00:47hate herself.

00:49But her colleague, Jess, stood by her side, encouraging her to move on.

00:54Lily was engaged to a psychiatrist in London, Kit Smith, and planned to go on a trip with

00:58him and his sister Rachel in the holidays.

01:01Lily took her friend Jess along, as well as Aaron and his girlfriend, who were mutual

01:04friends of Kit and Lily.

01:06They set out on their journey to St. Joseph's guesthouse and ran into another guy named

01:10Mark on the street.

01:12Mark was a car thief and a junkie, but hiding his identity, he took a lift on their truck.

01:17Upon their arrival at St. Joseph's guesthouse, Kit and the rest of his friends pulled a bizarre

01:21and scary prank on Lily.

01:23Kit even hired a local actor and acted out a ritual of human sacrifice that terrified

01:27Lily.

01:28As she was asthmatic and this intense situation caused her breathing difficulty, Kit paused

01:32the play and revealed that they were just trying to scare her.

01:36Rachel couldn't stand Lily for a bit.

01:38She hated her religious belief in wearing a hijab and praying five times a day.

01:43But the lingering concern in her mind was that she believed she had seen Lily somewhere

01:46before but couldn't recall it properly.

01:48Meanwhile, Jess, who was the closest friend of Lily, asked her if she had told Kit about

01:53her past.

01:54Lily asserted that she might not be able to confront Kit with the baggage of her past,

01:58so she had better kept it hidden.

02:00What was Lily's past?

02:02Lily couldn't ignore the horrifying presence surrounding her since her arrival at the guesthouse.

02:07Sometimes things took a darker turn when she started hallucinating the deaths of her friends

02:11and even felt her own death approaching her.

02:14As she started pondering over the history of the hanged girl, she started feeling the

02:17negative energy inside.

02:19Her past life, which she had always wanted to forget, began to haunt her.

02:23Meanwhile, Rachel, who was a very aggressive and short-tempered woman, decided to dig into

02:28Lily's past in order to protect her brother.

02:31As she uncovered her mysterious past, we came to know that Lily was a former drug addict

02:34and heavy drinker who was arrested for driving under the influence.

02:38She sustained a severe injury in a car accident, but when a proper medical intervention saved

02:42her life, she decided to pursue a medical profession and became a doctor.

02:47However, she realized her mistake, and to make amends, she not only got sober but converted

02:51to Islam, covering herself up, to rinse away all the sins she had committed in her life.

02:56But she made a huge mistake by keeping this information from her fiancé.

03:01Kit had a similar history.

03:03His father was a heavy drinker who never let his family know about his habit.

03:07After his father lost his life in a car accident, Kit learned about his drinking habit and felt

03:11betrayed by his father.

03:13So, very naturally, it would be a huge problem if his partner betrayed him in the same way.

03:18However, Rachel, who was hell-bent on destroying the trust and relationship between her brother

03:22and Lily, finally recalled that she had met Lily in rehab.

03:26Rachel took some help from her friends and dug up Lily's history, uncovering the history

03:30of drug addiction in Lily's life.

03:32She even managed to retrieve Lily's pictures with booze and mugshots after her arrest.

03:37She sent those pictures to her brother, which resulted in straining Kit and Lily's relationship.

03:46At night, Lily decided to cook food for her friends, but Rachel confronted her and got

03:49into a fierce altercation with her.

03:52As Lily stood up for herself, warning Rachel not to come between her and Kit, Rachel pushed

03:56her down the stairs, almost injuring Lily.

03:59However, Lily survived thanks to Mark, who stepped in to rescue her.

04:03As Lily broke down in tears and began to express her grief, Mark tried to kiss her.

04:08Lily didn't allow it, finding it weird as to why everyone was acting differently after

04:12coming to the house.

04:14In the meantime, when Lily and Mark were downstairs, Rachel spiked the food with liquid LSD.

04:19Later at night, when the group enjoyed the meal, unaware of the LSD in it, everyone started

04:23to lose their minds.

04:25Except for Rachel, who was the mastermind behind it, and Mark, who sneaked out to steal

04:29Rachel's truck.

04:31Aaron started to feel uneasy and went to his room.

04:34Lily, as a doctor, thought it was her responsibility to check on him, but Aaron's girlfriend,

04:38who grew immensely paranoid, prevented Lily from coming closer to Aaron.

04:42However, as Lily went back to Kit, he confronted her with the pictures.

04:47He even expressed his anger and behaved violently toward Lily.

04:50Afterward, Jess came to console Lily, but instead of comforting her as a friend, she

04:55started making inappropriate advances towards her.

04:58Lily was startled to see her best friend behaving in such a way, so she asked her to leave the

05:02room.

05:03Simultaneously, in another room, Aaron and his girlfriend had an intense fight, causing

05:07Aaron's girlfriend to lose her sanity and suffocate Aaron to death.

05:11But as she couldn't bear the pain of killing her lover, she committed suicide.

05:15As Lily and Jess found her dead body, Rachel found Aaron dead.

05:19Lily, being a doctor, tried the best she could, but she was unable to save either of them.

05:24Meanwhile, Kit, who was also having severe hallucinations due to the drug's effect, suffered

05:29an injury, resulting in his death.

05:31Rachel realized that her brother's blood was on her hands, but she attacked Lily, blaming

05:35it all on her.

05:37As Jess intervened to save Lily, Rachel put her to death and beat Lily unconscious.

05:42She took Lily to the woods in order to kill her in the same way the nuns had hanged the

05:45young girl centuries ago.

05:47But even though Lily was gravely injured, Rachel didn't manage to kill her.

05:51Before taking a step to kill her, she got hit by a truck and lost her life.

05:55It was her own truck that Mark had stolen earlier.

05:58However, when Kit was injured, Rachel had called him to get some help.

06:02As Mark decided to come back to the guest house to help Kit, he arrived late, and instead

06:07of helping Kit, he killed Rachel, saving Lily's life.
