New public holiday in Victoria proposed as part of treaty negotiation

A new public holiday, and more oversight on Indigenous affairs funding are among the ideas being taken into Victoria’s treaty negotiations next month. The treaty talks will take place between the state's elected aboriginal body and the government the first of their kind in Australia.
