00:00 Just five months ago, both sides of politics were on the same path to treaty.
00:07 Now, it's in jeopardy. Queensland LNP leader David Crisafulli resolute on his party's decision to withdraw support, days after Australians rejected the voice referendum.
00:22 We are not going to repeat the mistake that the Prime Minister did in subjecting the state to months and years of another bruising divisive campaign.
00:33 Mr Crisafulli doubled down, despite an open letter on behalf of 17 Aboriginal councils and shires across the state, calling for him to reconsider.

01:33 why would Aboriginal nations get involved themselves in it if they think that it might fall away at some point?
01:38 Late this afternoon, the body installed to lead the state's treaty and truth-telling process urged the state government to stay committed.
01:46 It lashed out at the LNP's decision, describing it as "a deep disappointment, a profound mistake.
01:54 It displays a weakness in leadership and timidity of spirit."
01:58 errors.
