00:00So, I am Salona Pati, I am by profession a civil engineer, currently the reigning queen
00:11for Marvelous Mrs. India, the winner.
00:19So this came on my way and it was by our first Marvelous, our first Mrs. India World by Dr.
00:29That itself was a big thing for me and I had a one-on-one session with her and which helped
00:35me think I can do this and so I went ahead and started my journey.
00:44So, I am myself a fitness freak but I think starting this journey with Marvelous Mrs.
00:49India, there have been a lot of mentor sessions with amazing mentors all over the world and
00:54we had one-on-one sessions with all of them for over a month and that grooming session
01:00was not just for external factors, you know, not just about makeup or anything but also
01:05how to increase your confidence, how to have a stage presence with nutrition and everything.
01:11So, I think, yeah, it was hard work for me especially because I am situated in United
01:16States and there is a day-night difference there but I was able to manage both because
01:21if you want to achieve something in life, you have to give time for it.
01:24So, I was able to give full time for it and achieve it.
01:32Yes, my mother actually wanted me to.
01:35Since my childhood, I have gotten several offers for several series and Netflix and
01:41all that but since I am a civil engineer, I wanted to finish my masters and complete
01:45all that.
01:47Not only my mother and father but my father-in-law, mother-in-law, my husband, my brother, sister,
01:52I think everybody was behind it and they supported me for it from day one.
01:56As soon as I told them I got selected and they were like, just go for it.
01:59So, yeah, there was 100% support from them.
02:07Yes, sure, I am open for everything because I dance and act all the time.
02:13I think, yeah, I am open to any kind of entertainment industry already.
02:17I had a session with Panchavi Garvey as well and I told her that I am interested.
02:23So, yeah, I mean I am open to everything.
02:30I think it's all about believing in yourself.
02:33I think, first of all, have faith in yourself and then as soon as you know there is a platform
02:39open for you, go for it.
02:41First, try to convince yourself because life comes only once and you should do as much
02:48as you can.
02:49So, that is my journey.
02:51I want to achieve one and everything.
02:53So, I went for it.
02:55I convinced my parents as well.
02:57Although they were interested but in today's world, I think women are very progressive
03:02and we are multi-taskers and I think they can achieve whatever they want.
03:06So, I would just tell them, go for it.
03:12No, I had no idea who the judges were until the final day.
03:16Until when I was backstage, I had no idea who the judges would be but it was our last
03:21year's winner.
03:23Neelam was there and Aitabh Maharani was also there and the chairman of Tathastu Hotels,
03:30I guess he was there as well.
03:31So, no, I had no idea who the judges would be.
03:34I think they were observing us but we didn't know who the judges would be.
03:42Yeah, mentors have been really, really helpful.
03:45In fact, the entire team, Dr. Aditi along with all the mentors, they have been very
03:49helpful.
03:50They have been very gracious.
03:51They were just one phone call away for us.
03:53So, yeah, I think without them, this wouldn't be possible.
03:57They have been a big part.
