00:00Today, almost 300 overseas Filipino workers were repatriated from Lebanon.
00:06Following the rising tensions there,

00:15Kenneth, it is expected that almost 300 overseas Filipino workers
00:20will arrive here today at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport
00:23who were repatriated from the country of Lebanon.
00:28At present, the Department of Migrant Workers is in a hurry
00:31for the arrival of the 290 overseas Filipino workers from Lebanon.
00:37This is because of the rising tensions in the Middle East.
00:40At 7 p.m. here in the Philippines,
00:43our countrymen left Lebanon.
00:46They boarded a chartered plane, the MYW-9071.
00:51The Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Migrant Workers
00:56as well as the Philippine Embassy in Turkey
00:58are in a hurry for the well-being of the Filipinos who are trapped in Lebanon.
01:05It is expected that the Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Kakdak
01:11and DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa will meet the OFWs.
01:14In total, 903 OFWs were repatriated since October last year.
01:22The DMW contributed Php 75,000 in financial assistance
01:28to the repatriated OFWs
01:30and Php 75,000 from OAH
01:34and Php 20,000 from DSWD.
01:38Meanwhile, the Department of Health is in a hurry
01:40to provide medical consultant and psychological first aid
01:44for our returning countrymen.
01:47Kenneth, you know, at 7 a.m. this morning,
01:50our countrymen were expected to arrive
01:52as OFWs from Lebanon.
01:55However, there was a slight delay.
01:57So, based on the latest information we got from the officials
02:02of the Department of Migrant Workers,
02:04they are expected to arrive here in Naia
02:06past 3.30 p.m. this afternoon.
