00:00The Philippine Ports Authority is strictly monitoring the country's ports

00:18It is expected that 1.6 million passengers will travel to the Philippines this year.
00:26According to the Philippine Ports Authority, this is higher than the 1.5 million passengers that were brought in last year.
00:34The 10 ports are continuously being monitored to ensure that the passengers' travel is safe.
00:41Especially now that it is the peak season, it is already starting.
00:45These ships must comply with the guidelines of the Marine and Philippine Coast Guard.
00:53Actually, the 10 ports that we are looking at right now,
00:58including Panay-Gimaras, Batangas, Mindoro, Negros Oriental, Bohol, Bicol, Surigao, Leyte, Zamboanga, and Misamis Oriental.
01:09In a statement by Radyo Pilipinas, PPA spokesperson Eunice Samonte is reminding travelers
01:15to visit the Facebook page or website of the Philippine Ports Authority for the details of their trip.
01:22Our reminder is to visit our ports earlier than their scheduled booking.
01:29But this time, it would be better if they check their shipping line first to see if the trip will continue.
