00:00Well, David outlined the actions that he will undertake today.
00:05So he's just been sworn in as Queensland's 41st Premier.
00:09He said his top priority is to address the machinery of government.
00:14So that's the makeup of all the different departments that he would like to see under
00:18his government.
00:19He's been in talks for the past two days with the state's top public service about how that
00:23would look.
00:24And then the kind of cabinet process can take place with appointing those ministers.
00:29There was lots of questions about whether he's called ministers, what the makeup will
00:32be.
00:33He says his first priority is to address those machinery of government changes.
00:38And then towards the end of the week, we'll start seeing the makeup of his cabinet.
00:42He says the shadow ministers that we've become familiar with over the past four years will
00:46still be part of that leadership team.
00:48But how that exactly looks, we're not yet sure.
00:51He also said that an email would be sent out to the public service in Queensland to reassure
00:57them and to give them confidence.
00:59It was a source of labour attacks during the election campaign, referencing the previous
01:03LNP government under Campbell Newman about cuts that took place under his government
01:08that they would reoccur under a Chris Ofuli government.
01:11He wanted to make it clear that the public service and service delivery is his top priority
01:16and he really wants to assure the public service.
01:19So he said that an email will be going out imminently.
