Recently CNN hosted a discussion about Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, one rife with racist jokes from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. Ironically, a conservative panelist who was involved in that discussion was removed for making bigoted comments himself. Veuer’s Tony Spitz has the details.

00:00Recently, CNN hosted a discussion about Donald Trump's Madison Square Garden rally.
00:05The rally was noteworthy for one thing, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe telling several racist jokes
00:10at the expense of Puerto Ricans, Latinos, and Black Americans.
00:14However, during the very discussion about racist remarks, conservative commentator Ryan
00:18Gerduski was removed and banned from CNN after a racist remark of his own.
00:24The discussion also included former MSNBC host, Mehdi Hassan, who said that if Trump
00:28and his camp don't want to be called Nazis, they should stop doing things associated with
00:33Nazis.
00:34Gerduski then said that Hassan had been called an anti-Semite, quote, more than anyone else
00:38at this table, with Hassan retorting that it was Gerduski who called him that.
00:42And that's when the exchange devolved into this.
00:44I'm a supporter of the Palestinians.
00:46I'm used to it.
00:47Yeah.
00:48Well, I hope your beeper doesn't go off.
00:49The thing is, is that that comment was in reference to the widespread indiscriminate
00:53terror attack perpetrated by Israel aimed at Hezbollah agents.
00:57Did you just say I should be killed?
00:58No, I did not say that.
00:59No, I did not say that.
01:00Hold on.
01:01Hold on.
01:02Did your guest just say I should be killed?
01:03When the program returned after a commercial break, Gerduski had been removed from the
01:05panel.
01:06CNN issued a statement shortly after the show ended, writing on X, there is zero room for
01:11racism or bigotry on CNN or on our air.
01:14We aim to foster thoughtful conversations and debate, including between people who profoundly
01:18disagree with each other.
01:20But we will not allow guests to be demeaned or for the line of civility to be crossed.
01:24Ryan Gerduski will not be welcome back at our network.
