00:00The Philippine Ports Authority, or PPA, is fully staffing its ports for the expected increase of
00:06about 1.6 million passengers during DAS 2024. That is a five percent rise from last year.
00:13All leave requests for staff from October 23 to November 4 has been disapproved to ensure
00:18safety and smooth operations. Last year, the Panay-Gimaraz Port had the highest passenger
00:24traffic. Ports remain operational and relief efforts are prioritized in heavily affected areas
00:31with supplies delivered to storm-hit Naga City. At Batangas Port, a new entrance will help
00:37passengers avoid scalpers. General Manager Jason Chago reminded travelers that travel insurance
00:44is not required when buying tickets.
