00:00We're gonna look at race number nine for Friday. This is the Breeders Cup Juvenile. We have the two-year-olds. These are the boys
00:06They're gonna be going a mile and a sixteenth on the dirt. So
00:09We'll get things started
00:11Alexa you want to talk about the the couple inside horses here for us?
00:14Absolutely. So this race has a ton of pace in it. Like there's almost everybody in here
00:20I feel like it's gonna want the lead so
00:22East Avenue is one of them, you know for Brendan Walsh with Tyler Gaffney on morning line of five to two
00:28Undefeated in two starts winning both by over five lengths and was handwritten out in both races
00:33So we really haven't seen his ceiling yet
00:35And last out he stepped up to a mile and sixteenth in the graded one at Breeders Futurity and won with ease
00:41I do think he should be the early leader out of everybody in here
00:45You know his 95 buyer and the Breeders Futurity is potentially good enough to win here and definitely with a little bit of small
00:51Improvement the average winning buyer speed figure of this race has been a ninety six point six
00:56So pretty close to that 95 mark. The number two is getaway car for Bob Baffert
01:02Needs the lead to win and just not the fastest of the front running horses in here
01:07Hasn't improved with the added distance in this last two starts. So I really think this horse wants a bit shorter distance
01:13Let's talk about Hill Road who is coming into this race and making the first dirt start
01:17That's always really difficult in a spot like this when you just don't know how a horse will handle the surface
01:21But producer rich
01:23I definitely want to look at the four
01:24Ferocious and the five Jonathan's way if we could flash both of them because I think they're both major players in here
01:30Ferocious is a horse who won his debut then in his second start
01:34He didn't ever look like he was running all that well
01:36And then Chancellor McPatrick kind of flies by him on the outside and it kicks him into another gear in his third start
01:42Ferocious was banging around in the gate before so he might have a couple excuses
01:46Jonathan's way is really versatile. He showed us in his debut
01:49He doesn't need the lead and then he came back and he was very impressive winning in the Iroquois
01:53So I think both of them extremely live contenders, but Tyler when we're talking juveniles
01:58We're always gonna be talking Bob Baffert at some point and now we hit a couple Bob Baffert's and Citizen Bowl in gaming
02:04We saw both of these courses run in Southern, California
02:06In fact, both of them actually have wins here at Del Mar over this track. Yeah, that's a beauty
02:11That's a beautiful thing a horse for course is always Luna comes into play if a horse
02:16Consistently wins at the same track same distance or maybe a little bit different distance
02:20But especially when a tracks play a little differently than it normally does like here at Del Mar this summer
02:24It was a little bit of a different speed bias track
02:26So seeing that we're not sure what we're gonna see this weekend
02:29But if that comes into play again, this horse may love it any preference of there are three Baffert's in here
02:34Do you have any way that you rank them or stack them or do you like anyone else of their other runners?
02:38Well that being said like yeah gaming is probably my top contender in this race horse for course again one over the Del Mar summer
02:46Conditions of the dirt twice actually and then the only thing that sets me back on this horse is the fact that JJ
02:52Hernandez rode on the debut then Flavian Pratt now I read Ortiz
02:56I mean from writer three different writers, which is a little odd to me
02:59But at the same time the horse obviously has proven itself over and over again
03:03So I I think the horse itself will go and hopefully win this race and Citizen Bowl
03:10Also is great
03:11Martin Garcia gets on board which is great started off with that and this horse comes out of the American Pharaoh which historically has
03:17Produced five out of the last ten juvenile winners. So we see those connections bar Baffert and Garcia
03:23They used to win a lot of races together. Now. They're teaming back up again, Alexa
03:26Why don't you talk to us about a couple of the Japanese runners?
03:29Because this number eight shin believe is my sneaky long shot and one of my best long shots. I think for the whole weekend
03:37I love this horse by bloodline
03:41by
03:42Constitution he's run once he's won once in Japan and he won by five lengths and the comment line says easy win
03:49So we definitely know there's more their time from us breeding rating. It gives them a 100 out of 100
03:55So obviously best bred in here. They also gave
03:59$800,000 for this horse, so they have really high expectations for him. I have really high expectations
04:03I have six exclamation parks after exclamation marks. I wrote very impressive watching that race. So
04:09Exclamation parks all over for that one. Awesome. Okay, we're on the same page here. And then the nine a coral a soul
04:16Doesn't fit here. I don't think it's actually the barn mate to shin believe so, you know
04:21I'm when I first looked at this I was like, why are they bringing this horse in and I'm like, well, maybe
04:26Get some experience fill the plane
04:28Help keep shin believe comfortable have a workout buddy in the morning, but for this race
04:32And the one they're all gonna have to hold off is Chancellor McPatrick
04:36What's kind of fun about this race is the inside horse and the outside horse are polar opposites
04:41And they're probably gonna be the two favorites in here
04:43You have East Avenue who's really quick and he's only shown as he wants to go to the lead
04:47He draws the inside you have Chancellor McPatrick on the outside total opposite. He's not fast at all early
04:53He like he just gets outrun a little bit right after he breaks and then he gets distanced
04:58But he always comes flying and he's three for three
05:00So it's really cool when you get to see a Breeders Cup juvenile. That's like this where you have
05:05You know the best horse from the east you have the best horse from the Midwest East Avenue
05:10You have another one Jonathan's way and then you have the trio of Baffert runners
05:14You really do have a lot of the best juveniles all coming together in this race
05:19And that's kind of how the Breeders Cup races are supposed to be
