00:00The government was able to send an additional supply of family food packs to the children who were severely affected by the next typhoon.
00:07The Office of the Civil Defense or OCD will continue to provide assistance to other areas affected by other typhoons.
00:15Details on the national news of Patrick de Jesus of PTV Manila.
00:21Because of the next typhoon Christine and Super Typhoon Leon, the agriculture sector was also completely affected.
00:29According to the Department of Agriculture, more than P3 billion was allocated to agriculture and it is possible to increase even more once the assessment is completed.
00:39Despite this, the DA said that there is a sufficient food supply and the price of food is being monitored.
00:46As assistance to the affected farmers and fishermen, the DA has allocated P1 billion to the Quick Response Fund for production input.
00:56It is possible to avail the sure loan of up to P25,000 for 3 years to pay and zero interest while there is also crop insurance.
01:05We also have livelihood programs that can provide assistance to our farmers.
01:13Meanwhile, the government agencies also assured assistance to the farmers that more than 1,000 individuals were evacuated due to the next typhoon,
01:23which was also affected by Super Typhoon Julian.
01:26If the time is good, additional family food packs will be delivered immediately using military assets.
01:32Although there are still prepositions in the province.
01:37I wrote to Secretary Sidoro and to Usec Nipongo Seno that if possible, there should be at least three trips for family food packs.
01:50Before, when we did the response in Batanes, this was during the Typhoon Julian.
01:55We have a strong 14,000 preposition goods.
01:58That's why this was used.
02:01But the plan then was to replenish it.
02:03Unfortunately, Christine entered.
02:05Right now, we already have 5,500 family food packs in the PCG vessel.
02:12But Batanes is not able to deliver it now.
02:16It is currently in Pangasinan.
02:18If it clears and we are able to fly through C-130, we will definitely be able to bring it to Batanes.
02:26In Batanes, the cloud ceiling closes early.
02:30So, over and above, there are weather conditions that we have to look into.
02:36As soon as it is deemed as flyable, it is already ready.
02:41The OCD also assured that assistance will continue to be provided in other places affected by other typhoons.
02:50Those who were affected because of Christine, don't worry.
02:55Our attention will not go back to Leon only.
02:58Since the typhoon passed, we did not lower our alert level status.
03:05Your NDRMOC is on a red alert right now.
03:08And since the typhoon passed...
03:11In the last report of NDRRMC, the number of people infected increased to 150
03:18because of the typhoon Christine while 20 people were missing.
03:23From People's Television Network, Patrick de Azuz,
