Is Drake Maye playing Sunday? What did Mayo say?

00:00yesterday, gave us a bit of an update on my guy Drake May.

00:04I'm sure there'll be a lot of questions about Drake. Drake is in the protocol.

00:07He's in the protocol and he will be a limited

00:10participant today in practice. So in saying that yeah he will throw the ball

00:14at times in practice today but he will be limited.

00:18There are people a lot smarter than me as far as clearing people

00:22with concussions and we'll lean on our medical professionals and also the NFL

00:27policy as far as getting him ready to play.

00:30I do have confidence that you know as soon as the league says he's ready to

00:34play that he will be able to go out there and operate.

00:36And in saying that I feel very comfortable

00:39putting Jacoby in there as he is a professional and

00:43always stays ready as you could see from the last game.

00:46However that plays out we'll see but excited for another opportunity to go

00:50out there and continue to get better. And I said you know as we continue to

00:53progress you know as the season goes on we want to be better

00:57as the season goes on and be one of those teams that no one wants to play at

01:00the end of the year and that's our goal. Did you notice the the change in words

01:04from Drake May to Jacoby Brissett? He said he'd be confident in Drake if

01:08he was able to start and then when he talked about Jacoby

01:10he goes I would be comfortable if Jacoby has to start on Sunday.

01:14Yeah I mean I think he's he's starting Drake May. I mean I

01:19So that's step three in the phase three whatever

01:24in the protocol is that you can practice for up to a half an hour or whatever

01:28that's what he did yesterday.
