00:00Healthcare workers from DOH Calabarzon descended on the town of Laurel, Batangas

00:24In the aftermath of Tropical Storm Christine, the Department of Health Calabarzon conducted a medical relief mission in Laurel, Batangas.
00:33More than 400 residents benefited from free medical consultations and medications provided by the DOH medical teams.
00:42In collaboration with the Batangas Provincial Health Office and Batangas Medical Center,
00:48DOH mobilized health workers and supplies to meet residents' immediate health needs.
00:54Services offered included free checkups and access to medicines and chronic illness support.
01:00According to DOH Calabarzon health workers, they observed common ailments among residents,
01:06including coughs, colds, wounds, diabetes, and hypertension.
01:12In addition to medical care, the mission extended mental health and psychosocial support to families grappling with typhoon-related trauma.
01:21To prevent disease outbreaks in temporary shelters, DOH teams administered vaccines for measles and other respiratory illnesses.
01:30They also conducted water quality checks and nutritional assessments to ensure safe drinking water and safeguard public health in disaffected areas.
