The rest is history, and to this day, the dish remains popular at local parties and occasions. 00:00Apparently people are out here eating cheese slaw, and it's probably not what you think it is. Cheese slaw is
00:06basically a cousin of pimento cheese. Grate up a pound of Swiss cheese. I like to do this in my food processor.
00:12I don't need an arm workout with my cheese grater. Mix in mayonnaise,
00:16banana peppers, a jalapeno, green onions. The green color of all of these stir-ins is where I think it does
00:24kind of look like coleslaw. If I saw this on a buffet, I could be convinced that it was slaw.
00:31I'm serving it in a cabbage-ware plate because obviously it looks like a bowl of slaw, but it's cheese.
00:37Get some crackers or crudités if that's more your speed, and there you have it. Cheese slaw.
