00:00There's a lot of last minute preparations here underway at the pageant warehouse for
00:07the big day tomorrow and we've been really lucky to get a sneak peek behind the scenes
00:12at these iconic floats here.
00:14Now there's around 85 floats that are patiently waiting to be across the streets of Adelaide
00:20tomorrow.
00:21Last year there were around 320,000 people that were there to watch them and they're
00:25expecting similar numbers this year as well.
00:28Pretty impressively there's going to be around 1,200 clowns, elves and characters to be getting
00:33ready in the morning.
00:35More impressively is the makeup artist behind the scenes who'll be ticking away at that
00:39between 6.30am and 9am.
00:42Now some people might say that November, which obviously it's the second of November when
00:46this is kicking off, might be a little bit too early to get into the Christmas spirit
00:50but we're very keen here in South Australia to kick it all off and I'm sure across this
00:55weekend there'll be plenty of people watching along at the pageant either there or at home
00:59and setting up their Christmas trees too.
