00:00Here are the Super Bowl 59 odds at this point. The Chiefs
00:07looking to make history as the first ever team to win three
00:10consecutive Lombardi trophies or even as a back-to-back
00:13Super Bowl champ appear in a third consecutive Super Bowl.
00:17The Ravens the second best price at plus 650. The Lions now
00:21the NFC Championship favorites in front of the 49ers that
00:25reflected in the Super Bowl odds as well. The Bills round
00:28out the top five at nine to one of those five teams with a
00:32triple digit number to win Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans.
00:37Brew it as you look at those ten best prices or perhaps the
00:40top five. How closely compact do you think everybody is in
00:44the hunt for a Super Bowl title? I think it's pretty
00:48fascinating in the NFC right now because it's arguable that
00:53the Lions look like the best team in football. Certainly
00:55they're they have the style points to go with it. Joe and I
00:59are both on the Packers from the beginning of the season and
01:02I think there's a lot to like about the Packers. If love
01:04gets healthier, this team could be a little stronger as we get
01:08towards playoff picture playoff time as it could look even
01:13better than they look right now, right? There's a couple
01:15of teams like that. Ditto the 49ers who are four and four
01:18right now desperately needed this bye week. They'll
01:21potentially get McCaffrey and Drake Greenlaw back in the near
01:25future and they are a team that's had slow starts but
01:30finishes strong this year though for the Niners. They
01:33have to go to Green Bay. They have to go to Buffalo. They're
01:36playing the Bears and the Rams late and I don't know that the
01:39Niners are going to go on this eight game win streak like they
01:43have in years past. So you but II say that to say that the
01:47Niners could be more dangerous in the playoffs than their
01:50record makes them appear. So that's what's fascinating to me
01:53about the NFC. The thing I would say about the AFC and
01:56we've covered it on here before is that Mahomes is presence
02:03constantly distracts people from how good this defense is.
02:07It's been going on for a couple of years now and people are
02:11like, ah, they don't score a lot of points. Look at all those
02:13interceptions that my home says they need more help at
02:15receiver. Some some of those are true. Yes, but they dominate
02:19people defensively and every time they go on the road and
02:23they're underdog people are like, yeah, they're not going to
02:25go into San Francisco and get that win because the offense
02:27isn't good enough except that they terrorize Brock Purdy and
02:31won that game easily. I just think until somebody solves the
02:35Chiefs defensive dominance, it's going to be tough for
02:37anybody else to get a win. I'm just being honest. How do we
02:42correlate the MVP odds here? Does the MVP come from the NFC
02:48the AFC and I mean if you think Detroit comes out of the NFC
02:52should we be looking at Jared Goff and you know Mahomes at
02:56five to one not the greatest of years, but let's face it if
02:59he's there again. How how is my home's not winning it also? I
03:04it's just it's strange a little Heisman ask right with the
03:08quarterback on the team of the best record. It gets a lot of
03:11favoritism and I think Goff is is a really interesting one.
03:15Our producer Joe Frank Bartunek on the Sunday in game live.
03:19He's been talking about God for a while, so I have some Goff
03:23shares in the futures market and I think if the Lions
03:27continue to impress like this, he is probably going to be the
03:31one standing near the top simply because Amon Ross St.
03:35Brown can rack up stats, but neither running back and it's a
03:39hard work hard award for a running back to win now it is,
03:41but neither running back has the lion's share. Excuse the
03:47of the carries or the touches so Gibbs and Montgomery don't
03:50stand out from one another necessarily in a race like
03:53that. So I think Goff is a really interesting one, but you
03:57see the two guys near the top as well with Lamar and Josh
04:01Allen. They're going to put up eye popping numbers. It's just
04:04can Goff come close to that and have the Lions standing at 15
04:08and two. I think that's the way he gets the most consideration.
