But what exactly is it?

00:00Project 2025 was created by the Conservative Heritage Foundation, a detailed blueprint guide for a potential second Donald Trump administration.
00:10It was assembled by a team including former Trump officials, but Trump says without direct input from him.
00:16And our goal is to ensure that the conservative administration that takes office in January of 2025 is ready on day one.
00:24It was published in 2023 along with a series of training videos obtained by the nonprofit investigative journalism group ProPublica.
00:32Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris is using Project 2025 to attack Donald Trump.
00:38Let me tell you, it's a detailed and dangerous blueprint for what he will do if he were elected president again.
00:47Bill Crane is a Republican political consultant.
00:49Why does Kamala Harris keep talking about Project 2025?
00:53There's two reasons. One is a belief that it fires up their base, whether it is directly linked to or indirectly linked to Donald Trump by the presence of some of his former staffers.
01:02And the other is there's some pretty scary stuff in there.
01:05Project 2025 calls for replacing nonpolitical career government employees with Trump loyalists and includes plans considered extreme by many progressives,
01:15including banning, prescribing or shipping the abortion pill, eliminating or downsizing agencies that study climate change and rejecting LGBTQ rights and any aspects of government seen as supporting so-called woke culture.
01:28I'm Katie Sullivan and just a normal American woman.
01:32But to the left, that makes me a cis gendered ethno imperialist birthing person with pronouns.
01:41She her. Words like that are quite a mouthful and it's one America needs to spit out before we choke on it.
01:51Trump has gone out of his way to distance himself from Project 2025 without disavowing its content.
01:57As you know, and as she knows better than anyone, I have nothing to do with Project 2025.
02:02That's out there. I haven't read it. I don't want to read it purposely. I'm not going to read it.
02:07Following criticism from Trump, Project 2025 stopped its policy work over the summer and the leader of the initiative stepped down from the Heritage Foundation.
02:16But polling suggests the majority of voters have a negative view of Project 2025 and Harris is not likely to stop using it to attack Trump.
02:24He doesn't take any kind of criticism at all.
02:27So I do think one of the reasons Vice President Harris continues to talk about this is she can tell that it bothers former President Trump.
02:34With just days left in the campaign, neither candidate will stop any attack that might give them an edge.
