Marcos okay with flood control project investigation

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said he has no problem with the possible investigation of the government’s flood control projects following the devastation in several areas caused by recent typhoons.

00:06A. I have no problem with that, but also I have to realize there are two sides to this.
00:11The flood control is really overwhelming. We have flood control, but we can't handle it.
00:18We really can't handle it because in the history of the Philippines, there's nothing like this.
00:24We're just going to face it now. That's why we need to understand people, not just the budget, but also what's the science.
00:33Follow the science. See what's happening.
00:36Look, not just here. Have you seen what's happening in Spain? Have you seen what's happening in other places?
00:42In the States, what's happening? It's the same. It's the same in those places.
00:46That's just happening now.
00:48What we're going to do is we're going to change the design. We're going to strengthen the infrastructure, the flood control, the slope protection, and the bridges.
00:59We need to change all of that. We need to look for better designs.
