00:00Our fourth top five tilt of the 2024 college football season on
00:07the opening weekend of November three versus four inside Happy
00:12Valley. Not so happy for the home team though on Saturday
00:16once again in a spot where maybe just maybe James Franklin
00:20and Penn State could rise to the occasion and win a game.
00:23The odds did not expect the Nittany Lions to win. Nope. The
00:29narrative continues for Penn State. The narrative at least
00:33for one Saturday slightly changes for Ryan Day and the
00:37Buckeyes. Ohio State wins on the road 20 to 13 covering as
00:41a three and a half point favorite against the Nittany
00:45Lions. Ohio State avoids what would have been an upset in
00:49their second loss of the year. Multiple red zone turnovers
00:53for both of these two teams including that fumble you see
00:56there for the Pennsylvania native Will Howard. But when
01:00it mattered most Ohio State's red zone defense the best in
01:03college football bows up once again and a Penn State offense
01:08that had been so much more efficient throughout the first
01:11seven games of this year looks awful on Saturday once again
01:15against the Buckeyes. They did and they're supposed to lose
01:18that game. They always lose this football game. But the
01:21saving grace for James Franklin now is I mean, he's getting
01:23a Thunderbolt like if we just had still BCS error or whatever
01:27the you know, top four teams make it in top six, whatever
01:30like James Franklin's like man. This is going to be really
01:32tough on me. But now there's 12 teams. So you saw the post
01:35game press conference. A lot of coaches like, you know, what
01:37I just got to own this like this is I can't win these big
01:40games. I don't even know what to change at this point, but
01:42we'll try to get better. And oh, yeah, we're out of the
01:44national championship picture. It looked like he couldn't
01:47give a damn. They lost that game. Like yeah, it's Ohio State.
01:49We always lose that game. But you know what we can still
01:51make the college football playoff. That's all that matters.
01:53That's not all that matters. It's the same mo every single
01:55year of Penn State play a team where you might not beat them,
01:58you know, you're never going to beat them but play a directional
02:01score a Mac opponent run up the score beat him by 50 points
02:03and get an extra three years on a contract extension.
02:06Duralor 12 of 21 interception. No touchdowns not good enough
02:10that vaunted ground game, which turned into a tight end playing
02:13basically, you know, Wildcat football three counties for
02:1647 yards and nothing else from the rest of your queue.
02:19Did you even have any wide receivers singleton legend also
02:22Warren's a tight end. You have nothing at wide receiver.
02:24Ohio State is too talented for you to have a 10 to nothing
02:27lead and basically going to his shells. If you already won
02:30that football game and credit will Howard who had a monster
02:33day in his own had gone. I always wanted to play for Penn
02:35State. I can't wait to get there and he throws a touchdown
02:37pass to the other team right away, which gets you down 10
02:40to nothing and still had the composure to throw two
02:42touchdowns the rest of the way with no interceptions ground
02:45out the ground game. And what did I love the best year a
02:48goal line stand from Ohio State which gave them the football
02:51back with roughly five and a half minutes left Penn State
02:54never saw the football again in a one possession game. That's
02:58Ohio State imposing their will on Penn State in Beaver Stadium.
