00:00For those that still are deciding not between two candidates, but whether they vote or not,
00:06there's just a couple of things we know are going to happen. Somebody is going to win,
00:11and they are going to spend money, they're going to see policy passed,
00:15they're going to appoint judges. And you need to determine, do you want a say in that,
00:21or do you want somebody else deciding that for you? I don't care if you like them,
00:26I don't care if you want to make, I don't care if you're excited about them, somebody is going to
00:30win, they're going to see that legislation is passed, they're going to spend money,
00:34and they're going to appoint judges. And the other piece that Tamika talked about is,
00:39there's members of the Senate, there's members of the Congress, there's judges at the local level,
00:43there's ballot initiatives, all that are on the ballot. And so, while not voting may seem like
00:49a protest to you, to me it seems like a cop-out. Because do you want say in what the future of an
00:57imperfect system is? Or do you want to claim that because it's imperfect, you won't participate?
01:04I don't think that makes sense. I don't think you believe that makes sense. I don't think the
01:09people that are relying on you to provide a level of leadership, whether it's in your home,
01:13or in your community, think that makes sense. And so, staying home as a protest is your right.
01:19But does it make sense for all of the things that are going to impact your life that are on that
01:24ballot when you show up?
