00:00Beth Link, who is the executive director
00:03of an organization called When We All Vote.
00:06You may have heard of it.
00:07Michelle Obama's voting engagement organization,
00:10When We All Vote.
00:11Beth Link is the head of that organization.
00:14And she is going to join us just for a few minutes
00:16to talk about, for folks who may need help
00:20getting to the polling station, there is help on the way.
00:23Beth?
00:24Absolutely.
00:25Well, thank you so much for allowing me to join
00:27at the very tail end.
00:29I will say, Linnea and JJ really inspired me
00:33in that last session.
00:34And so, and this entire town hall has been amazing.
00:38So I'm really here to help with resources
00:41to get to the poll and to ensure
00:43that you can make your voice heard.
00:45So thank you, Alfonso.
00:47Thank you, Ebony.
00:48So first and foremost, When We All Vote
00:50is really proud to be partnering with Lyft and Lime
00:53to ensure that if you need a ride to the polls,
00:56you can get one at a free or discounted rate.
00:59So in all 50 states, you can use the code VOTE24.
01:05That is VOTE24 in your Lyft app
01:07to get a discounted ride to your polling location.
01:11So don't let having a ride to the polls
01:14be a barrier to voting.
01:15Make sure that you are able to get to your polling location
01:19and to vote.
01:20That code is VOTE24.
01:22In locations where Lime bikes and scooters are available,
01:28you can also use the Lime code
01:32to get free and discounted rides to the polls as well.
01:36And we encourage you to do that.
01:38The last thing I will just say is
01:40I just wanna remind you of your rights.
01:42So if you are voting on election day,
01:45know that you have a right to stay in line
01:48if you are in line before the polls close.
01:51You have a right to ask for a paper ballot
01:54if you prefer to vote on paper
01:56or if a computer isn't working for you or isn't working.
01:59If you're getting questioned about your citizenship status,
02:02your criminal record or other qualifications,
02:05you have a right to ask for help.
02:07And 1-866-OUR-VOTE is available with volunteers on standby
02:12to help you make sure
02:13that you can make your voice heard tomorrow.
02:15Just like Alfonso said,
02:17we have resources available at whenweallvote.org
02:22if you need a plan to vote
02:23or need help finding your polling location.
02:25Happy voting tomorrow and make sure to check on your friends,
02:29your family, your voting squad
02:31to make sure that all of them
02:32have a plan to vote tomorrow as well.
02:33Thank you so much, Alfonso.
02:35Thank you, Ebony.
02:36No, no, no.
02:37Thank you so much, Beth, for joining us.
02:38And just for folks, this is real
02:39because in certain parts of the country,
02:41polling stations in black communities closed.
02:46So in the last election,
02:48if you went to a certain polling station,
02:51that polling station may be closed.
02:53And you may realize that there's a challenge now
02:55in getting to the new polling station
02:57and it's further from your house.
02:59So if that's the case,
03:00we wanna make sure that you have the ability
03:02to get to that polling station,
03:04which is why the partnership with Lyft
03:06and whenweallvote is so important.
03:08Beth, can you once again remind folks
03:11what the code is if they want a Lyft to the polls?
03:16Thank you so much.
03:17And I'd actually encourage everyone
03:18to share this with your friends and family as well
03:21so that they don't miss out on the savings
03:23and this discount code.
03:25It is vote24.
03:27So vote, V-O-T-E 24,
03:31the numbers two and four.
03:32So put that in your Lyft app
03:34and make sure that you're getting that free
03:36and reduced ride to the polls.
03:39Thank you so much for joining us.
03:41We really appreciate all of your help and support.
