00:00Trevella have previously given out contracts early to expiring players last season.
00:06Is there any rumour or discussion of that this season? Any latest on that, George? I'm sure
00:12there's a number of players out of contracts in the summer. Is there any progression in that
00:15department? Well, I ask the question at every press conference and there's kind of been no
00:20update so far. Matt Sadler did talk about his intention of building for the future and they
00:26will be looking to get players on contracts which will be announced before the end of the campaign
00:32and trying to get players signed up early. I think the first contract that was handed out
00:37was to Donovan Daniels in the summer but actually during the season I think it was Oshin McKenzie
00:41which was on the 21st of November. So maybe Walsall before that January window could start
00:47to look at getting some players tied up. Nothing confirmed at the moment. All I can do really is
00:54keep asking the question but I do think that from Matt Sadler's comments when I first mentioned
00:59it to him around sort of six weeks ago is that Walsall will be looking to tie players down on
01:06new contracts. We've seen Taylor Allen actually earlier this season already. He had his one year
01:15option deal extended and then it extended by a further year. So that's a player on board now for
01:23Walsall for the future and I can imagine they'll be looking to do the same with others. I think
01:26Jamie Gellis has got an option year. So with the form he's in Walsall is going to be dying to
01:33extend that and get that one sorted. I can imagine he will be looking to get players tied down early.
