00:06The government is determined to bring the situation back to normal in the Bicol region after the storm Christina.

00:13In his last visit to Cabarines Sur, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised that the Bicol region will recover.

00:20The President also stated that a proactive approach is needed to avoid the wide spread of climate change.

00:27He also gave a directive to the DPWH to study the changes in the master plan of the Bicol River Basin Development Project

00:34so that the heavy flooding in the region will not happen again.

00:39In July this year, the Department of Public Works and Highways completed the updating of the master plan and feasibility study of the Bicol River Basin

00:52to address the challenges of climate change.

01:00At present, the detailed engineering design that is expected to begin in the first quarter of next year is being prepared.

01:11Next year, when the new year 2025 starts, we will start our plan so that the flooding in the Bicol River Basin will not happen again.

01:29In our time, the storm Marce is still raging in the northern mainland of Cagayan and Babuyan Islands.

01:35The storm was last seen 200 kilometers east of Apari, Cagayan.

01:40The wind speed was 155 kilometers per hour.

01:43In the middle of the storm, the wind speed was 190 kilometers per hour.

01:48The storm was moving at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour.

01:52Signal No. 4 was high in the northern portion of Cagayan, along with Babuyan Islands and the northeastern portion of Apayao.

02:00Signal No. 3 was high in the southern part of Batanes, which is part of Cagayan.

02:05Signal No. 2 was high in the northern and central portions of Isabela, which is part of Apayao, Ilocos Norte, and the northern portion of Abra.

02:16Signal No. 1 was high in the northern part of La Union, Pangasinan, which is part of Ifugao, Benguet, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya,

02:34northern and central portions of Aurora, northern portion of Nueva Ecija, and northern portion of Zambales.
