00:00The Philippine National Police resigned after two high-ranking officials were arrested

00:06who were involved in a raid on the Century Peak Tower because of a love and cryptocurrency scam.

00:16For the record, the PNP will not succumb to any pressure.

00:19The Philippine National Police or PNP denied that they are under pressure

00:23because of the arrest of two high-ranking officials of the Philippine National Police

00:27who were involved in a raid on the Century Peak Tower on October 29 because of a love and cryptocurrency scam.

00:33According to the PNP Public Information Office Chief, Police Brigadier General Gene Fajardo,

00:38NCRP Original Director, Police Major General Sidney Hernia, and Anti-Cybercrime Group Director,

00:46Police Major General Ronnie Francis Carriaga were under administrative relief

00:49in order to conduct an investigation if there was any negligence in the raid.

00:55The PNP Committee led by the PNP Deputy Chief for Operations led the investigation.

01:02We owe it to the people because a lot of accusations and allegations were propagated in different formats.

01:09So the PNP leadership deemed it necessary to subject the former RTN-CRPO and the Director ECG

01:18under administrative relief to give way to the investigation.

01:22Like I said, this is not a punishment.

01:25At the same time, Fajardo argued that this is not the first time that a high-ranking official has been relieved from his position

01:32because of the command responsibility.

01:34One of the things that the PNP is looking at as a mistake

01:37is the request made by three police officers to the CCTV cameras inside the raided house.

01:43For the record, we are not happy with what our police officers did.

01:47Regardless of what they said, they were overheated, there was no ventilation,

01:52and they have no right to alter the focus of the CCTV.

01:56Despite the temporary removal of two high-ranking officials,

02:01the PNP claimed that the operation of the police in the 23rd floor of the Century Peak Tower was legitimate and legal.

02:09The police operation was conducted under the premise of an implementation of a cyber warrant duly issued by RTC Manila.

02:20However, during the implementation of the cyber warrant,

02:25there were again operational related issues that were raised by the subject of the police operation,

02:31particularly the alleged tampering of the CCTV camera by PNP personnel.

02:38The NCRPO's OIC will serve as the police brigadier general, Reynaldo Tamundong.

02:43While the PNP-ACG's OIC is being established,

02:46Police Colonel Vina Guzman, Deputy Director for Administration of the PNP-ACG,

02:52said that there are two options for a PNP personnel who is under investigation.

02:59First, he can be under restrictive custody.
