Finch Farm, Liverpool, UK
Transcript
00:00Will Seamus Coleman back in the Republic of Ireland squad, is that useful in terms of
00:03him getting some game time or is it a hindrance in terms of him still building up his fitness?
00:07It'd be useful but unfortunately he's got an injury so we're not sure how serious that
00:11is at this stage. Looks minor at the moment but we'll have to wait and see. So unfortunately
00:16he just keeps getting there and he's been working very hard in training so yeah that's
00:20an unfortunate one but we've had a tough run at that as you know.
00:23What is it he's done?
00:24He's got a minor hamstring so we've just got to check that it's nothing too serious or
00:29we'll know over the weekend, well probably know today actually.
00:32Positive on the injury front is Brogier has obviously been training with the main group
00:35in parts at least anyway, where exactly is he at and what's the plan for him now as you
00:39build up his introduction to the first match?
00:41Yeah in parts is the right thing, he's just basically been a floater that's it, just to
00:45get a feel of the ball and nothing other than that at this stage, just out of trouble you
00:50know and just really get to know the players because obviously he came in injured which
00:54everyone knew and he's been working really well actually, put a lot into his recovery
01:00with the Sports Science team so just getting around the players on the pitch that is, obviously
01:04he's in the dressing areas and stuff like that but yeah he's not bad any contact of
01:08any kind, it's just literally as a floater in certain parts of the training, just warm-ups
01:13and stuff like that and then working with the Sports Science team so it's just the crossover
01:15now, hopefully from next week onwards we'll start moving that forwards.
01:19I take it he will need behind closed doors friendlies as well, when are you thinking
01:23that, I take it he won't be able to do that during the international break?
01:25No of course, I mean the timing's great that he's getting there but obviously with the
01:28international break it's difficult because everyone disperses again so, but yeah he is
01:32going to need a games programme definitely.
01:34Do you know when that will be?
01:36No I mean we're getting him to the point of training so he's not there yet, from next
01:40week we're hoping that he'll be looking more likely, as it happens unfortunately everyone
01:44disperses as I said, on the other hand when he comes back in he will be in full training
01:50with the team so the following week when everyone comes back together and therefore just take
01:54it on from there, first things first, make sure he's fit and well as in no more injuries.
