00:12Susan, I'm here in one of the covered courts of Barangay 128 in Tondo, Manila.

00:17This is where the residents who were burned last night continue to stay.

00:20Most of them have nothing left to save.

00:24Cluster 4 in Barangay 128 in Tondo, Manila was covered by fire last night at 11.30 p.m.

00:30According to the barangay, a wife was the suspect who started the fire.

00:34According to the man, they were just playing.

00:37According to resident Simay Lee, they were sleeping when the fire started.

00:42She was forced to wake up her three children.

00:44The Bureau of Fire Protection continues to investigate the cause of the fire.

00:47They also suspect that two people died.

00:52The fire lasted for almost four hours before it was completely extinguished.

00:55According to the BFP, based on the structure of the houses,

00:58it was not safe to live in the area before the fire started.

01:05Most of all, around 100 to 150 families were affected by the fire.

01:10According to our residents who live in Cluster 4,

01:15the fire started suddenly because the couple was fighting

01:20in the back of their house.

01:22Now, the man is in my barangay.

01:24I think he was beaten by the villagers.

01:27We were just fighting, but I didn't do anything.

01:31I was beaten there.

01:33I returned it.

01:35Someone said that I was the suspect.

01:37I didn't do anything.

01:41The fire was too big for us.

01:44Our house was burned down.

01:46Our children's school supplies, books, uniforms,

01:50none of that was left for us.

01:52We didn't report it.

01:53We had a hard time.

01:54As you can see, it's narrow.

01:56Only a small truck can pass through here.

01:59It's inaccessible because as you can see,

02:01it's very narrow.

02:02It's all junk shop and impounding.

02:11Susan, the BFP said,

02:13the impounding area of the MMDA is very close to the burned houses.

02:17It's good and there are no casualties here.

02:20The residents are calling for hygiene kits,

02:23underwear, and clean clothes.

02:25Meanwhile, Susan,

02:26the barangay is just in the middle of us

02:28because it's not safe and the land needs to be used.

02:31The houses that were built in Cluster 1

02:33were destroyed today.

02:35In the next few days or weeks,

02:38other clusters in Marala will be destroyed.
