00:00In the middle of the country's 11th anniversary of the defeat of the super typhoon Yolanda,
00:07House Speaker Martin Romualdez called on everyone to monitor and prepare for climate change.
00:13On November 8, 2013, Yolanda hit the country and the Takloban City in Leyte was the first to be hit.
00:22The district of Romualdez was hit.
00:24According to the House Speaker, this tragedy should not be repeated.
00:29That's why the mechanisms should be strengthened regarding the disaster response and resilience of the country.
00:36As citizens, Romualdez recognizes their obligation to improve the government's actions regarding climate change.
00:45That's why this is one of their priorities now.
00:48One of the initiatives that the House helped with is the Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act,
00:54which pushes for the creation of resilient and well-organized evacuation centers in different parts of the country.
01:01The House leader said that it is not enough to just be prepared.
01:06There should be long-term structures that the people can use.
01:10That's why they are determined to support this.
