00:13The Presidential Communications Office and the Department of Energy named the students who participated in the Have the Power campaign as students of the Department of Energy.

00:22The students are encouraged to know the importance of energy conservation through comic strips, animation, and short films.

00:52Energy Utilization Management Bureau Director Patrick T. Aquino hosted the awarding ceremony.

01:01Under the Philippine Energy Plan 2023-2050, a large percentage, about 10%, earmarked for savings in electricity and fuel.

01:11That is also aligned with our ambition for 2040.

01:14It is also an opportunity to dovetail with our National Energy Consciousness Month, which we celebrate every December,

01:20where the focus of our government's message is the efficient and efficient use of energy.

01:2630 students participated in the You Have the Power Contest,

01:29including John Maynard Pamonag of City College of San Jose Del Monte for the comic strip category,

01:38Ioni Bianca Suyo of Benilde Senior High School for animation,

01:42and fellow students from Laguna State Polytechnic University were nominated in the direction of Shamira Espiritu for the short film.

01:50The official mascots of the DOE, the Madiscarte family, were also recognized in the program.

01:55Under the leadership of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,

01:58the PCO and DOE plan to continue their efforts for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Campaign.

02:05The government is committed to facilitating this change through policy support, investment incentives,

02:13and technological innovation, which encourages our private sector participation in renewable energy and alternative fuels.

02:22Organizers are hoping that this campaign will just get started

02:27so that the public can better understand the importance of saving in electricity,

02:31which is also part of conservation of nature.
