00:00Good morning, welcome to your latest weather update for the Met Office. It's another cloudy
00:05and damp start for many of us this morning, but there is some brightness on the way into
00:09the new working week. But before we get there, we've got this area of rain arriving across
00:12western parts of Scotland, bringing quite a damp start with some outbreaks of heavier
00:16rain across western Scotland this morning. Across the rest of the UK, still a cloudy
00:20start to the morning, some brighter spells across the far south, but these quite few
00:24and far between. It's across Northern Ireland and western parts of Scotland that we see
00:27the best of the sunshine as this weather front slips its way southwards through the
00:31afternoon. Temperatures on Sunday do look like they're up a touch compared to what we
00:35saw on Saturday, highs in the south of 14 or 15 degrees, in the north maybe 11 or 12
00:40degrees, although feeling a little chillier across the far north with those blustery showers
00:44pushing through. Through the rest of Sunday, we see that weather front continue to push
00:49its way south and eastwards, bringing some murky and misty conditions across the Pennines
00:53and parts of north Wales as well as that system sinks its way southwards. But the northern
00:58half of the UK still generally staying dry overnight. Plenty of clear spells around,
01:02perhaps even a touch of frost across parts of Scotland under those clear spells. Always
01:07staying just that little bit milder under that cloud across the south, 8, 9, maybe even
01:1010 degrees in places, but it's the low single figures that we'll see under those clearer
01:14spells. So perhaps a bit of a chilly start, but quite a bright start across the northern
01:19half of the UK on Monday. For the south, still quite a cloudy start as we see that
01:23weather front just lingering for a time across southern parts of England, but eventually
01:26pushing southwards, leaving a dry and bright day for many of us. Plenty of sunshine and
01:31blue skies on offer, which is a welcome change to what we've seen recently. Temperatures
01:35will still be a little bit above average for the time of year, 13 or 14 degrees in the
01:40south and 10 or 11 further north, but definitely feeling much more pleasant with all that sunshine
01:44around. The sunshine does look like it's set to last at least into Tuesday, maybe even
01:48Wednesday, but make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel to find out all the details
01:52on that. Bye bye.
