00:00Former police colonel Roina Garma and her son Angelica Garma Villela were arrested and helped in San Francisco, USA on November 7, according to the Philippine National Police and Department of Interior and Local Government.
00:14This is Kenneth Paciente of PTV Manila.
00:19President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. wanted the government to focus on illegal drugs in the country.
00:26This is what the executive board discussed in a meeting with DOJ, DILG, PDEA, and PNP.
00:32According to DILG Secretary John V. Cremulia, even though the use of illegal drugs will continue, the president wants to strengthen the supply of illegal drugs.
00:43This is through the involvement of drug cartels.
00:46Chasing after the big guns, the big suppliers, the main men involved in the importation of drugs.
00:54The personalities have been identified. I am not at liberty to discuss it.
00:59New Believed Prison in Muntinlupa City is one of the targets now.
01:03It is the main place where illegal drugs are caught and handled.
01:06Remulia's gate is where 200 high-valued personnel are detained.
01:11They are currently being investigated.
01:13These people are now more high-tech.
01:16These people are now using cryptocurrency.
01:19He plans to transfer these people to a high-maximum security facility to stop their connection to the transfer of illegal drugs.
01:26Safe to say, it will be the most secure facility yet built.
01:31And their communication lines will be totally cut.
01:34But why is the drug circulation still rampant inside the penal farm?
01:38The problem is now systemic inside Muntinlupa.
01:41So they are trying a new approach.
01:44Whatever they do, they will sweep.
01:47After two weeks, everyone will have a telephone again.
01:51So evidently, there's something wrong within the system.
01:54And changing personnel is not the answer.
01:58You have to change the location, change their availability, change their accessibility
02:02so that the communication to the outside world is curtailed.
02:07So that's what they are doing.
02:09The point of entry of illegal drugs in the country is also one of the President's goals.
02:14Including the Manila International Container Port.
02:17He said that these people will be more eager to help foreign anti-drug entities like the U.S. DEA
02:23so that the entry of drugs in the country can be avoided.
02:26Remuliang confirmed the deportation of retired police colonel Royima Garma
02:30after he went to the United States and the airport authorities there found out
02:35that his visa and his daughter's visa were cancelled.
02:38The Philippine Bureau of Immigration and Immigration and Naturalization Service of the U.S.
02:43is now filing a case against Garma for returning to the country.
02:46We don't even know why Garma's visa was cancelled.
02:49Apparently, the U.S. flagged her and their visas were cancelled.
02:53Even their children were not allowed to enter the country.
02:56They were forced to go home.
02:59As far as I know, they were just allowed to go home.
03:04When did they arrive, sir?
03:07I think tomorrow is their flight.
03:11Garma will be directed to the Senate Detention Facility when he arrives in the country
03:15because he is a state witness.
