00:00In the world of sports, more than 100 paddle players will compete in the 2024 FIP RISE MANILA, the first international paddle federation tournament in the country.

00:13Bernadette Tinoy of PTV Sports in the center of the news.

00:18In a historic occasion, the world's best paddle players in the Philippines came together for the hosting of the country's FIP RISE MANILA 2024 held at Manila Paddle Club in Taguig City.

00:32Here, 60 competitors will face each other, where Jason Tamayo and Jessica Agra will be the flag bearers of the country.

00:40They have a great reputation that will make the country proud.

00:45You'll see some really strong Filipino pride and competition and I think we'll see some really great results.

00:52So, hopeful for that and we'll see how it goes.

00:56It's very huge in terms of gaining experience, learning more about paddle and learning more about yourself in terms of as a paddle player.

01:04So, I'm very excited to play against and see international players at higher level come here in Manila to play.

01:13So, hopefully we get good results as well but very excited just to play.

01:20More than 100 athletes from 29 countries will compete in FIP RISE MANILA 2024.

01:28We have Netherlands, Spain, UK, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Japan, also free entrance.

01:43Paddle is always open to all.

01:46The events of the Philippine Paddle Association and all clubs of Manila Paddle Club is open to all.

01:55It's open to all spectators, players also.

01:59We have a free intro to paddle for our countrymen who want to try paddle.

02:05Meanwhile, on Sunday, November 17, it is expected that the champion of the FIP RISE will be announced.
