00:00I was at one of P. Diddy's freak-offs.
00:03Freak-offs.
00:04You saw celebrities there that you recognized.
00:07It was a rapper that we all know.
00:10Straight-up porn directed by Diddy.
00:13I'm just grateful to have made it out.
00:15So, we told you that we have a new documentary on Diddy,
00:19The Downfall of Diddy.
00:21This one is Inside the Freak-Offs,
00:24and we have told you about what at least one person says
00:28happened at the freak-offs.
00:30Now we want to talk about fallout.
00:33Celebrities who may have been at some of these events,
00:38some of these freak-offs,
00:40which is now the subject not just of a criminal investigation,
00:44but more than 120 civil cases as well.
00:48Right, and we told you that there are celebrities
00:51who are running scared,
00:53worried that their name is going to come out in public
00:56attached to any of these freak-offs.
00:58And they are actually settling some of these cases, if you will.
01:04They're not really cases yet,
01:06but the civil lawyers have been sending demand letters
01:09to some of the people who are at these parties
01:11saying, pay up or we're going to name you,
01:13and they don't want to be named.
01:14And this is going on apparently a lot in Hollywood,
01:18and there's someone who may be kind of at the center of all of this.
01:22And that person is Ray J,
01:24who is telling us what he has heard directly from celebrities
01:29about how they are handling this crisis.
01:32And believe me, to them, it is absolutely a crisis.
01:36And he gave us a lot of information
01:39about what celebs are doing behind the scenes.
01:41I'm hearing about artists paying victims
01:45to keep their name out of it.
01:47You know people who have been approached by women, men, whatever,
01:56who have said, give me money and I won't talk?
01:59Here's the other way around that, Harvey.
02:03I'll give you money, please don't talk.
02:06You are a well-connected guy.
02:09Do you know that what you've just described,
02:12is that going on now?
02:15Yes.
02:16They want to talk to me.
02:18They want to talk to me about what happened to them.
02:21They call me.
02:22They feel like they can trust me.
02:24Wait a minute, calling you for what?
02:27Calling you for what?
02:28Because they want to tell me about certain things
02:30that happened with them and Diddy.
02:33Ray, I want to make sure I understand this.
02:36Are these high-profile people calling you
02:39because they've had some affiliation with Diddy
02:43that they don't want to come out
02:45and they think you might be the vessel for it coming out?
02:49Is that what you're saying?
02:50Yes.
02:51That's exactly what I'm saying.
02:54And I don't even know why I just said it,
02:56but I said it, so what?
02:58Now they got to be mad.
03:00Come get me.
03:02Were they specific about what they did with Diddy?
03:09I don't want to say.
03:11I think I said too much.
03:12Well, he said a lot.
03:14He said a lot.
03:15It is possible he said too much.
03:17So we should also tell you that in this documentary,
03:21we also spoke with Tony Busby, who is the Houston lawyer,
03:25who has more than 120 of these civil cases,
03:28and he said to us some really important things.
03:32Number one, he said there are celebrities,
03:35there are politicians and business people,
03:38all of whom they are reaching out to,
03:42and from the way it sounds,
03:44they have already sent some of them demand letters saying,
03:47pay up or we're going to file a lawsuit against you.
03:50And then he said in this documentary,
03:53which I think is really ominous,
03:56even if you didn't do anything untoward at a freak-off,
04:01if you're a celebrity who was there,
04:03or anybody who was there,
04:05and you saw something going on where somebody was passed out
04:09and somebody was having sex with that person
04:11and you didn't do anything,
04:13Tony Busby believes that those people are civilly liable
04:18and he's going to go after them as well.
04:20Right, and clearly the approach here is
04:22he knows exactly what Ray J just said,
04:25that these celebrities are desperate to not be attached to it publicly in any way,
04:29so you send them a demand letter
04:31and probably get an answer that you like.
04:34I think that's the key to the whole thing, right?
04:36It's not necessarily that he did anything wrong,
04:38it's the fact that as soon as you are associated with Diddy in these parties,
04:42you're going to be tarred with that forever, right?
04:47People are going to associate you with the kind of person
04:49who attended these parties,
04:51and at least as it stands now, that's a really negative thing.
04:53Now what's interesting is that Ray J has been very public
04:56about saying he did not attend a freak-off.
04:58Oh, he's very clear in this documentary,
05:00he said never has he attended a freak-off.
05:02This is Sheila Zolnar from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
05:04This is the least surprising news I've ever heard.
05:06Essentially Ray J is saying that people are paying up
05:09because they don't want to be canceled,
05:11and that's the least surprising news ever.
05:13But I'll say this,
05:15it could work out in the favor of these victims.
05:19Notoriously, victims of sexual crimes are humiliated
05:24and they continue to be humiliated through the court process,
05:27and I can understand them taking the money
05:30because they can save themselves the further humiliation.
05:33On the flip side, thanks for the offer,
05:35thanks for identifying that I have a claim,
05:38and they could use that in their favor for negotiating purposes.
05:41So not surprising at all that they pay.
05:43The only thing I would disagree with you on is
05:45thanks for acknowledging I have a claim.
05:48A lot of these people are paying
05:50not because they think they've done something wrong,
05:53it's that it is radioactive right now to be associated
05:57and they don't want, like you said earlier,
05:59they just don't want that association.
06:02And I even asked Tony Busby about that,
06:04and I said, look, I mean, this feels like a game.
06:07Pay me or else I'm going to name you.
06:09And he said, hey, you know...
06:10That is the game.
06:11He said, that's a fair point,
06:13and it is the way the system works.
06:16Please tell me he didn't say,
06:18hate the game, not the player.
06:20He kind of did.
06:21No, he kind of, I mean, in so many words,
06:24that's exactly what he said.
06:25Yeah, well, we should remind you that
06:27the documentary is streaming right now
